Rain and Coffee Empty Rain and Coffee

Post by Nia Sat Dec 08, 2012 11:03 am

There was a storm coming. The clouds above the wizarding street were giving the witches and wizards a brief warning of light light, but the thunder could already be heard form miles away. Covering her head with the hood of her robe, Ksenia hurried into the coffee shop that she had noticed when she was walking past it five minutes ago. There were moments of chaos of everyone on the street tried to find the shelter the could but the young witch left it all behind as she shook the rain droplets off her Robe.

"Coffee, please," she nodded politely to the waitress that greeted her at the door and made her way to one of the table.

Even though it started to rain only a couple of minutes ago, all those who didn't manage to quickly find themselves a shelter were already soaking wet. So were Callista and her great doberman Nazar. And it didn't seem like raining should stop any moment now as the drops were growing bigger and falling faster with every second. Callista soon realized that there was nothing else to do but to find a dry place and wait until the storm passes.

Waitress gasped as Deveraux entered the coffee shop. Obviously it was for the wet, dirty and dangerous-looking animal that came in after Lis. But something about this newcomer lady prevented waitress from trying to protest. Ignoring sharp looks of disapproval that few other people were giving her, Callista moved toward the furthest table, her doag following closely. As she sat down, Nazar made himself comfortable under her chair. Feeling bored, Lis started to play absent-mindedly with subtle white gold bracelet she was wearing on her wrist.

"Thank you," Ksenia murmured as the cup of coffee she had ordered was placed on the table in front of her. The witch took the cup delicately with the fingers of her right hand, careful not to burn herself and took a small sip. The brew warmed its way down her throat and the witch closed her eyes for a moment in contentment. Really, there was plenty of little things one could find enjoyment in every day. Partway lost in though, the Slushatel did not pay much attention to the witch that made her way past her table and towards the back of the shop. What did catch her attention however, was the glint of the braclet that wound its way the woman's wrist. She didn't have any time to inspect in any further than that one brief glance as the woman moved passed her with her dog.

Ksenia frowned as a heavy feeling settled itself at the pit of her stomach. Swallowing the lump that formed in her throat, her expression growing ice cold for a brief second, the witch took her cup in hand and stood up from the table.

"Hello," she said with a polite smile as she approached the other woman. "That is a beautiful bracelet you have there," she murmured. If only she could take a better look at the drawing that were carved into the metal. "A gift?" her eyebrow rose slightly.
