Playtime

Laying flat on his stomach, Theran grinned, pushing the little replica of the Knight Bus around in front of him.The sound of the wheels against the plush carpet of his room were soothing. Much better than the silence of his room.

Nodding to himself, the child chewed absentmindedly on the leg of his stuffed centaur, his blue eyes scanning the room. It was still early morning, the rest of The Underground most likely still asleep. But the prince was awake, content with simply staying in his room.

With all the toys he had here, there wasn't much of a reason to move. Hugging the stuffed animal to his chest, his gaze settled back on the the bus he continued to push back and forth. Tilting his head slightly, he pushed the toy vehicle farther, letting out a little giggle as it sailed across the carpet, coming to a stop a few centimetres away. Clapping his hands together, Theran grinned before crawling towards it and doing it again.

Pushing her way through the door of the room, Pepper appeared, running as fast as her little limbs would carry her. Andy, her stuffed hippogriff, was clutched tightly to her chest, even as a happy sound flew from her lips.

"Ear ran!" She exclaimed, tumbling over beside him. She paused where she'd fallen, eyes wide with confusion, before she moved carefully to right herself and sit beside him. "Ear ran." She said again, balling her small fist into the fabric of his shirt. "Ear ran. Ear ran." Her voice was happy, a greeting as her lips placed a sloppy kiss to his cheek. "Eye issed choo."

Holding the hippogriff to her mouth, she began to chew on it, eyes tracing the other toys around the room. Which to play with first?

Looking up at the sound of the door opening, Theran tilted his head. At the sight of his sister, the child grinned from ear to ear, waving a meaty little hand in her direction. Looking back at his bus, he let out a little happy sound, somewhere between a coo and giggle.

Turning back at the sound of his name, he smiled at Pepper, bopping his head to his name. Leaning towards her, he copied the action, pressing his lips to her cheek. Pulling back, the goblin prince grinned again, his blue eyes wide. Letting go of his plushed centaur, he wrapped his arms around his twin. Theran gurgled softly, leaning his head on her shoulder.

Even at his tender age, he was sure about one thing: that he really did love his sister.

Her search for a toy ended as she felt her brother's hold, dropping Andy next to Theran's centaur, her arms wrapped around her twin, holding him tightly. "Ear ran wrice cweem?" She asked, pulling away slightly. "Wrice cweem?"

"Wook! Wook!" Standing, the princess nodded. "Oo wis!" Then she vanished, leaving a shock of falling glitter in her place. She reappeared silently on the other side of him, plopping on her bottom as she did so. She hadn't quite gotten the whole landing thing under control, but there was time for that later.

"Ee?" She asked him, nodding. "Ow Ear Ran twhy!"

At the mention of the sweet treat, the boy brightened, a grin spreading across his face. Nodding jerkily, he clapped his hands together. How could someone possibly turn down ice cream? Hungry or not, he still wanted it.

Watching her disappear, he reached towards the pile of glitter, running his hands through it before pulling himself to his feet, wobbling slightly. Nodding to his sister, he vanished, appearing moments later in front of Pepper. A proud grin crossing his face, he clapped his hands together.

Now that was a way to travel.
