Time For A Change Empty Time For A Change

Post by Edward Raquin Sun Dec 30, 2012 8:17 pm

It was dark outside, the stars barely peeking through the obviously cloudy sky. It was probably around midnight, the soon to be sixteen year old decided. The perfect time to go to the one place he knew he shouldn't be.

Edward wasn't usually the type to sneak out in the middle of the night, especially to go to a place like the Moulin Rouge. Recent events regarding him and his parents, however, have changed the young Angelique into taking more of a chance with his life.

In fact, recently to prove he was taking charge in his life, he coloured his hair, something he knew his parents hated. Snickering to himself at the thought of what his parents might say if he walked in the door with his new hair, Edward stuffed his hands in his new dress pant pockets and strolled inside the club.

People stared at him as he wandered over to the bar area. Raising an eyebrow at them as he passed, he shrugged and continued on. Edward had a feeling that maybe he shouldn't be there, he was under age, or so he thought, but he would be sixteen in only a month or so.

Giving his head of newly dyed hair a shake, he strutted to the bar and took a seat. Edward stared out across the place, admiring it. He had never been here before and just being inside of it, excited him.

Kat might not approve of him coming here, in fact he knew she probably wouldn't. She might not even approve of his new hair, but he really didn't give two shits about what she thought. Not anymore. It was his new life, and he planned to live it how he chose.

Turning around, he asked the bar tender for a Butterbeer, something he hadn't had it what seemed like ages.

After he payed, he took a long drink of the liquid in his hands and enjoyed the familiar taste of his favourite drink in the world. "Gotta love that." he said aloud, to no one in particular.

Edward could feel the eyes of the other people in the club on his back, but he payed no mind to them. Not today, not ever. This was the new Edward Raquin, and he was no longer going to care about what most people thought of him.

The young half vampire reveled in the presence of the many humans around her. It had been a long time since she had been in a club, not that she showed it. She already had a following, and that had nothing to do with compulsion. The simple sway of her hips and the movement of her body was enough.

She had gone with the almost-innocent look, a black schoolgirl style skirt that stopped midway down her thighs and an emerald button up shirt that hugged her curves. Her hair was down, curling ever so slightly over her shoulders in dark brown waves. She had yet to wear anything but her black leather boots, and sweat made her clothes stick to her.

Deciding that tempting the crowd was enough for now, she made her way to the bar, leaning against it as she ordered a daiquiri. She gave the bartender a wink and he grinned back, spiking it with a bottle from beneath the counter.

Drawing the sweet concoction to her lips, taking a measured sip and smiling at the taste of blood mixed in. Licking her lips slowly, she surveyed the crowd, looking for something not even she could name.

Edward had spotted her almost immediately when she took a seat, barely a few feet away from where he sat. He looked down briefly before taking another sip from his drink, and then he slowly looked back up, at the young woman sitting down the bar from him.

She was pretty, there was no doubt about that, and the outfit she wore gave Edward very dirty thoughts. Shaking his head, he tried to rid his mind of the things he should not have been thinking of.

He had a girlfriend, a very pretty girlfriend at that, but here was a very...hot and also very pretty young lady sitting mere feet away from where he was. Glancing around the club, to see if there was someone that she might have come in with, he stood up and unable to stop himself, walked over to the girl in the green shirt.

Gripping his large mug of Butterbeer, he cleared his throat as he sat down next to her. "So what brings a girl like you down here tonight?" he asked casually, scanning the room as he spoke.

She noticed the moment he realized she was there, hearing picking up on the quickening of his heartbeat. She dismissed him as just another boy before he had even taken a step toward her, instead surveying the crowd on the dance floor and thinking of maybe going hunting.

His approach was marked, even though she didn't glance at him until after he spoke, and even then it was a sideways, half unintersted look that dismissed him further. What was he, sixteen? Barely that? What was he doing here?

Smirking slightly, she took another sip of her drink, licking her lips ever so slowly after she was done. "Adventure." She commented slyly, biting her lower lip in an attempt not to laugh.

"What brings you away from kindergarten, blondie?"

Edward managed to chuckle softly at her remark. Sure he was young, almost sixteen, but she looked no more than a year older than he was. So who was she calling a kindergartener?

Choosing to go along with it, Edward smirked a little and said, "No one there shares their toys, so I thought I'd get out to find one for myself."

He knew it was a shit reply compared to what she had said, but he thought it worked to some extent. "So, what are you drinking?" he asked, eyeing the glass in her hand.

It looked like something he might have already known the answer to, but he was so emmersed in being in the girl's presense, that he barely took much notice.

For a moment, Edward thought of Kat, and what she might say to him being here, talking to another girl. She might be furious, but it wasn't like Edward planned on meeting her. Though it was his fault for going out to a club on his own.

"So you're searching for a toy?" The girl glanced over her shoulder at him, eyes sweeping, judging, before a smile split across her lips. Karma brushed her hair back, turning to face the boy and assess him more obviously. "Have you found one yet?"

She leaned toward him, tilting her head to the side and licking her lips slowly before glancing back at the cup. "A daiquiri." She said softly, tilting her head back. "I like my treats sweet, with a bit of spunk hidden in, you know?"

Edward gave the girl a small, hint of a smirk. "Sort of. I do have a girlfriend, who I love, but I just needed a night out." he said with a shrug, his smirk disappearing.

As the beautiful young woman sitting next to him, leaned towards him, a tad suggestively, Edward couldn't help the thoughts running through his head again. Raising an eyebrow at her comment, a tiny mischievious smiled appeared on his lips.

Running his hand through his hair, slightly subconsciously, he nodded his head. "I like my treats sweet, with a little spice added." he replied, his smile growing a little wider, without his notice.
