Personality:

German is very loyal. He doesn't believe in hatred or cruelty. He's not especially religious, yet he still has a very strong moral compass, and refuses to intentionally hurt any person, no matter how much they deserve it. He feels a strong connection with any other human beings, and is easily able to relate to even the lowest and vilest people.

He tries his hardest to help any person who he feels needs it, but he sometimes goes way overboard, hurting himself in the process. If anyone he is close to is hurt, he would be crushed, and would immediately blame himself. People say he's wise beyond his years, but it doesn't stop him from repeatedly putting himself and others in danger for the sake of the "greater good".

Overall history:

German's parents moved to Spain from South America just before German was born. At the age of seven, his father was able to find no work, and so they moved out to Saint Petersburg, hoping that they would have some demand for a Latino/Spanish musician. At eleven, German discovered he was a wizard, and was sent of to Durmstrang, still trying to learn about half a dozen languages and entirely lost without his family, who he had been incredibly close to.

During school, German was fairly solitary, only making a few close friends. Many of them were outcasts, or depressed, or drug addicts, but he found himself drawn to those people and their distress, as if he were being sucked in like a black hole. Not that he minded. He loved helping people, and making them happy.

When he was sixteen, his father died of a heart attack. German and his mother were devastated. His father was deeply religious, so every week he could manage it, German would find his way to a house of worship- of any kind- and pray for his father.

After he left school, German was unable to find himself a job, so he found himself playing his old guitar on street corners all over Russia. Since school, he has remained almost completely disconnected from friends or family.
