It sounded like Darquesse had a personal issue to deal with. Caedus wasn't one to delve into it and he certainly wasn't going to bother.

"Perhaps." Caedus remarked. "But if some people believe that the angst and misery is worth it, then they've very much already accepted the decisions that they've made at the best of their ability and have embraced the consequences despite knowing on what would happen. Making a difference in a crossroads decision depends on what the person can and is willing to do."

Darquesse sighed, she knew that she shouldn't be talking about this really, giving the man hints to where she was from, who she was when she herself had no idea who he was and would probably never truly know. She rested her elbow on her knee and her head in her hand, so she was looking at the floor again.

"The decision sometimes is not within that persons control and if that person were to act then there would be adverse consequences to the person they least wish to hurt."

Smiling sadly up at Caedus Darquesse sighed loudly and tried to work out a way in which she could save her sister.

"It's a lot better to take the initiative and improvise along the way than letting things run their course in a case like that if the results of the latter are guaranteed." Caedus replied. "Even if the decision isn't in the person's control, that doesn't mean it's a one-way road. It's kind of like gambling in a way when it looks like the cards are stacked against you. Even if the chance of success is small, it's still better to take it than to choose a route where no chance of success exists."

It was one of the things that was chained to him as the Executor of the Annihilatus. The tough decisions that had him gambling and the ability to bear the consequences of the outcome that results were heavy weights indeed. Many a time when it came to fighting the other factions, be it the Knights of Walpurgis or the Lux Veritatis, nothing always fit within a strategy or timetable as a slight change or difference can render it invalid.

Smirking slightly Darquesse lay back down on her back, there was no way that this guy could possibly give her information about how to fix her own problems when he didn't even know what they were, fi she were to fight her parents to gain her sisters freedom then she in this course might die and her sister too, her happiness would of course be great if she won but greately diminished if she lost.

"This might be true if the matter concerned only I and people able to defend themselves but when it concerns someone of young age and innocence it is in no way prudent to put my own wishes and desires above the practicality of the situation."

Sighing again she placed her hands on her temples.

"Perhaps not." Caedus replied. Someone young and innocent? He certainly didn't know what Darquesse was trying to say but he wasn't going to inquire about it. Not his business, ain't gonna affect him. But a good debate on the other hand... well, that wasn't something that he could easily back down from.

"But on the other hand, in order to what one thinks is right, sometimes you'll have to do things that aren't considered right. Ends justify the means. Are you saying that it's better to just stand aside and do nothing while the situation possibly gets worse over time?"

It sounded a lot like on how England and France didn't do anything when Germany was on a conquering spree in the pre-WWII era.

For a moment Darquesse thought that he had seen her side of the debate and would drop it but he didn't sighing a little again she got into her debate mode and sat up properly looking him straight in the eye as she thought about a point to rebuttle his own.

"However what is deemed as the solution for the situation will not just effect myself but the innocent also involved, it is not however the desired result of said confrontation for the innocent to get hurt so in this instance it would be the correct thing to do to wait and to keep the situation contained until the opportune moment to act when you were perfectly sure that there was no chance of yourself or the innocent getting hurt."

    She frowned.

Waiting for the right moment to make your move? Well, Caedus would certainly agree on that notion and he certainly caught the gist of it in Darquesse's last statement.

"Alright, since you put it that way, at least I got the gist of it. Regarding your situation, whatever it is, it's your call on what you wish to do and HOW you want to approach it." Caedus answered as he couldn't believe on how he had gotten into this exchange in the first place. How the heck did this happen? Perhaps his carefree indifference clouded a bit of his comprehension throughout the years and the lack of attachments ran a number of him.

'But even biding for the right moment to act isn't a foolproof option all the time, especially when it comes to the issue of living beings. You never know if the chance to achieve a goal will have the same parameters later on.' he thought to himself. Honestly, there was certainly more than one way to skin a cat or taking the initiative. Somehow, he wished Darquesse would've just simplified things earlier since Caedus felt like he was in the Tower of Babel.

Darquesse sighed, she had known that was the correct thing to do before they had started to talk and to be honest this conversation hadn't helped her mood she would have been a lot happier had they chosen to talk about books or something or Shakespeare.

"Thanks for your help in trying to solve my problem but those things I already knew it's just the problem of formulating a plan and investigating the right time to implement it."

Smiling once more at Caedus Darquesse tried to think about something else, for example the number of words that could be used to mean fight or something like that.

Flipping open her thesaurus she glimpsed idlly through it.

Caedus merely shrugged. At least it was over and he didn't have to speak anymore. Darquesse's problem was personal and keep out of it is the easiest thing to do, end of story.

Noticing that she was reading a thesaurus, the man merely turned away to look at the lawn when he heard a creak upstairs and wondered if the blonde's earlier rampage had done some damage to the supporting sections of the Shrieking Shack. The answer came in the form of a resounding crash within the interior of the house and Caedus calmly jumped over the balcony and onto the lawn before casually looking at the upper echelons while leaning against a tree, brooding a bit.

Darquesse sighed a little and flipped over another page in her book, she couldn't quite believe she was in the company of a man who would rather her sit there and read a thesaurus than talk to her, but then again, she thought with a smirk, men couldn't all be like Draco.

When the Shrieking Shack creaked over head Darquesse sighed again, so tiresome to collapse around her while she was attempting to read. Not bothering to move she clicked her fingers and some of the pages from the thesaurus flew out of the book, transformed into strong metal plates and covered Darquesse in a dome, the plaster and wood falling on it not her.

Darquesse dispelled the sheild leaving her in a perfectly clear circle.

Caedus heard the clicking before seeing what had just transpired from the corner of his eye, which gave him a sight of Darquesse in a protective dome of sorts while she was still reading her thesaurus. The sight was dull enough yet Caedus couldn't help but think about a time when he, Laura, and Oriana were reading shelves of magical Grimoires in their younger years.

Checking the time on his watch, Caedus rolled his eyes. It was time to pay a visit to a certain metal-wielding blacksmith.

"Later!" Caedus called to Darquesse before moving to withdraw from the area.

Darquesse sighed and waved at Caedus as he said that he was going, for once her desire to not be alone had been quenched, this man seemingly knew how to press all of the buttons to make her annoyed and she didn't want to snap at him.

She continued to sit there muttering a few of the words out, testing their flow together, for words that flow better together mean that they are more powerful.

There were some days when she wondered why she bothered with people at all.

(OOC: Are we doing another 'next meeting' thing here or not?)
