Damian lay on his bedroom floor, gently hitting the back of his head on the carpet. It was more out of sheer boredom than anything else.
The boy could hear every single word that was being said by his parents downstairs. He could hear half of what was being said by their neighbors out on the front walk. They were talking about 'that horrid Gray boy' and how they 'had thought he wouldn't be coming back to terrorize their children.' He growled when one of the stupid bints suggested that they should 'tell someone who can handle that kind.' If only he weren't eleven, then he'd go show them what 'terrorizing' really looked like!
Downstairs, his parents were fretting over whether they should have left Damian at school with his sister over the break. The neighbors seemed 'so upset'.
"I told that boy, again and again, not to antagonize the other children," Moria Gray was saying now.
"Well, you know Damian's always been a bit willful," her husband Donovan responded. "Lynne hasn't helped much on that front."
Damian kicked the floor with his heel. "Stupid muggles!" he snarled. He grabbed the pillow off his bed and pressed it over his ears. "Can't wait till I don't have to come back here, anymore!"
