Lesson Two (Second years)

Alexis got to work, she prefered workin alone in Potion, and that would leave Less and Eye free to partner up.
She immediate went into the mood, she took a mortar and ground the ingredients again for good measure. Then she added the scurvy-grass powder into her cauldron. And turned the heat medium. When the concoction turned dark red and emitted black smoke, she held her breath and added the sneezewort. The concoction turned a dark green, she started stiring doing a tempus charm as she started and added a monitoring spell for good measure.

"Let's be partners then," Char replied to Iris. Charlotte quickly began to write down the instructions that the Professor had put on the board.

After fifteen minutes of stirring and fifteen minutes of brewing were out of the way, Alexis added the Lovage and stirred for five minutes. It turned into a gorgeous Maroon color.

Iris settled beside Alessa and asked. "Partners?" She immediately wrote the instructions on a new roll of parchment with her partner's name and began to brew after. She prepared every cup of full powder from the three ingredients and observed every color. She put the powdered Scurvy-grass in the heated cauldron until it turned to a different color and produced black smoke. Then avoided inhaling the Sneezewort and added in the mixture. Iris stirred and waited for the dark green color to appear. Once it had, she put water and stirred again for fifteen minutes. She left it brewing for another minutes like the stirring and finally added Lovage. She stirred for five minutes and put out the fire. She mended her tired arms and left the concoction until it's time to check it. Iris looked at Alex and understood why she preferred to be alone this time. It can be since her mentor is not here anymore. She thought of comforting her when the lesson ends, feeling her emotions of loss both in her senses and sight.

'Alright' Shaun called, 'Time to let you out of the Dreary Dungeons. There's glass phials at the backshelves. Collect one, fill it with your brewing, whatever stage they belong, submit at my desk after lebeling them. You're free to go after that.'

Iris cleaned her already tidy desk and went to the back shelf to get a glass phial. She emptied her cauldron and labeled the phial with the potion. "Befuddlement Potion - Iris Frances, Y.2 Slytherin" Then headed outside to wait for her friends.

Iris got all the powdered ingredients and set them aside to add them one by one. She added the Scurvy-grass watched in satisfaction as it turned dark red color. "Here, you can put in the Sneezewort," she told Char.

The potion turned a dark green color and they added water to it as well and stirred for 15 mins. "Now, for the Lovage," she said. "And we're outta here." She went to get the phials to put in their final result and labelled them.
