Yet he was struck by a deep desire to jump in. It was foolish and stupid - the water was going to be both frigid, and dangerous but...
Well, when did he ever really let that stop him before? He didn't even know if this counted as a rule. Was there a rule against swimming in the lake?
Probably, but that fact just made it all the more endearing.
He knew his brother would frown upon this idea but...
He wanted to. And really most of the time, for Aquila, that was all it came down to. Life was too short to let experiences go by.
Though some of his experience have come close to making his life a whole lot shorter.
So Aquila continued to stare - to swim or not to swim, that is the question.
