Lesson 4 (Third Years)

Ferdinand swiped out at her and she grinned at him. "Even though not all the students were excited to be working with you at the last lesson, I'm sure they won't mind that you're the test they're taking today, what do you think, darling?" She asked the plant.

She turned to the door, and waited for the first arrival.

After taking her now-customary calming breath outside the door, Ondrea stepped inside the classroom. Again, she was the first to arrive.

"G-good mo-morning, P-Professor," she greeted quietly. She immediately felt her face heat up and diverted her gaze. Noting that they were probably working with the young whomping willow, again, Ondrea took a seat.

Nyx smiled kindly at the nervous girl. She wondered if the young woman had always been so panicky, or if it was something else. "Welcome back, Ondrea. How are you?"

Demo stepped quietly into the classroom, and gazed at the plant. "Er, sorry I wasn't here last lesson, I got a cold," said Demo casually, but not intending to sound arrogant. He looked at the plant more, and remembered one of his classmates talking about something like it. He wondered if it was something he needed to catch up on.

"I'm w-well, thank you," Ondrea responded. she wished she wouldn't stammer so much. It was a bit mortifying, really, especially in front of the professor. What must the woman think of her? That she was a nervous wreck, probably - and she wouldn't have been far off the mark.

The girl looked up as one of her classmates entered, a Gryffindor boy that she wasn't certain she had seen before. Ondrea redirected her gaze to the desktop, hands clasped together in her lap.

Lucy walked carefully into the room. She had been really out of it the past days, she hadn't been in contact with anyone, and it felt weird to see people and plaster a smile on her face again. She shut up the part of her that kept thinking about the looks people seemed to be given her and stayed quietly as far away from the center of attention as she could.

Lola ran to the greenhouses but when she reached the threshold she hated so much she slowed down and stepped over it, making sure she wouldn't fall again.

"Good day professor." She greeted as she took her seat.
