Okay. This thread is really simple. Vote for your most favorite Harry Potter book from the series and cast your opinions why you've chosen it. Me first:
I love, love them all of course! Who wouldn't? So my most fave HP book would be the Prisoner of Azkaban. Since all was revealed and the excitement was thrilling (the suspensful among the first two books). And that's when Harry met his family. Talk about the Marauder's Lupin, and Sirius Black. Plus, the classes going on and all that was really funny. Whew. Words can't further explain. And the Dementor thingy, EXPECTO PATRONUM!, boggarts, Crookshanks and Scabbers a.k.a Wormtail, Hermione punching Draco. Very Happy

I like the third book, The Prisoner of Azkaban. Its a lot better than the first and second, much more magic and a big part of the plot is revealed. I love the Hogsmead infiltration, Scabbers turning to be Wormtail, the mad psychic teacher (what was her name?), Snape's Boggart, in resume I love all the book.

Thanks you J.K Rowling, for this brilliant piece of work!

Of course it's pretty cliche to say that Deathly Hallows is your favorite book but it really is my favorite! Everything becomes clear and you understand Loving Love! everything within the books. You also get to do some of your own thinking into why this or that happened! I love it!

    Chamber of Secrets!
It was the first book I ever read. (Because when Philosopher was released I was like 3 years old and my mum read it to me and.. I didn't quite understand it yet because I was a baby)
And.... it was AWESOME. I read it like, 50 times already.

I absolutely, positively love The Order of the Phoenix. Firstly, it shows Harry's darker side; I mean, he wants to kill someone! And then he's all tortured, which...I don't like very much. But it shows that he is human and not some perfect "Boy Who Lived." Also, it has a very subtle underlying humor in like, everything, and makes me laugh. The Cleaning of Grimmauld Place is quite humorous and fun to read, and Sirius' death just makes me want to wail out loud. And the rebellion against Umbridge? Pure genius!

So yeah. My reasons for absolutely loving The Order of the Phoenix.

I do have to agree with Aurelie. After Deathly Hallows, Order of the Pheonix is my favorite! I loved seeing Harry angry and seeing him different than we had in the other movies. He was a bit resentful and pissed. Order of the Pheonix was the only book I ever actually bought.

Lol! I loved Deathly Hallows, but too many of my favorite characters died for me to like it better than Order of the Phoenix. Order of the Phoenix, one person died. Deathly Hallows, the Last of the Marauders (I like to refer to Remus that way) died, Tonks died, Fred died, Dobby died... there was actually something on tumblr that described it perfectly...gimme a second...

    Ah! Found it!

What J.K. Rowling thought whilst writing Harry Potter...
Oh, James and Lily are a flawless couple? Hm...I'll kill them.
‎Oh, Harry is happy with Sirius as a father figure? Let's kill him.
Oh, Dumbledore has been Harry's mentor since he was 11? Haha, lol, let's kill him.
Oh, Remus is happy for the first time since James and Lily died? Kill him.
Oh, Tonks is happy and has a child at home? Okay, she's DEFINITELY dying.
Oh, Dobby is finally free and happy? He doesn't deserve it. Die, Dobby, die.
Oh, everyone loves Fred? I'll kill him and drink their tears.
Oh, Snape is possibly one of the greatest characters in the book? LOL! DEAD!

    So true.

I give Rowling the benefit of the doubt for killing off our favorite characters because it was for the greater good, BUT THAT WAS SO FUNNY! I love that quote! XD

before the 6th book came out, POA was my favorite.

But, The Half-Blood Prince is totally my favorite now.

For a very certain reason too, (when i tell my friends this they always look at me like I'm crazy), it was the first book (aside from Sirius's death in OOTP) where a main character dies.

i like the fact that Dumbledore dies for two reasons. Once, as a writer, I think it was a really smart, albeit potentially wrong, move. I know a lot of people that couldn't get over Dumbledore's death, because he was such an important character. I like it because it's pretty realistic.

Also, the second reason, is because I'm totally for the darkside. And a part of me was super happy that they killed someone so significant inHarry Potter's battle, and ultimate win, against Lord Voldemort.

Had this been in real life, you know if magic and stuff was actually real, Harry Potter would've been dead by the end of the first book, AT LEAST!.

    Lord Voldemort FTW!

Goblet of Fire, all the way! It was my favorite book 'cause of how incredible the details were...I liked how all the schools came together. It was great to see how other parts of the world dealed with magic. It was also my favorite movie Razz
