Aquila was disgusted that he was in the library before classes had even started. After all it wasn't his fault that he didn't get one of the books for his class and now had to scramble and hope that the library had it.

Well, technically it was his fault, but the young Ravenclaw wasn't one to deal in such semantics. He was more of a 'I'll see it my way' type of kid.

Seeing as it was early in the year, the library wasn't very full. However, a Slytherin and a Gryffindor had started a large argument a couple of rows over and all that were actually in the room were distracted by that. Espeically the librarian.

Aquila, though, was attracted to something else - the enterance to the restricted section. He glance between the gates, the librarian and back again.

Well, if no one is look...

Supressing a smirk the boy quickly and quietly closed the gap between himself and where he wanted to be. Giving his surrounding one more glance, he muttered a quick Alohomora which the two student's arguing completely erased, and slipped in.

Smiling at he success, he promptly made to hide himself in shelves. He wasn't entirely sure how he was going to get out - what with the arugment having been his only cover going in - but Aquila would be nothing if he started making full flawless plans.

He wandered the rows further back - always careful to stay hidden - looking at all the grusome titles, pulling the more interesting ones off the self.

"Bloody -" he gave an involentary curse, and his eye teared up a bit as the book - an ugly old tome - he had just pulled off the self sunk it's teeth into the flesh of his hand.

Droping the book and giving it a childish kick, he looked at the ring of teeth marks that were now slowly oozing deep red blood.

    "It bit me."

Jet ducked behind a bookshelf when he heard the door close, but hearing that it was a student back here with him, not the librarian, not a teacher, he came out. he leaned against the bookshelf and looked at the kid, who was still cradling his hand like he'd never felt pain before. The boy wasn't a first year, but he was younger than Jet, and so, Jet felt the supierority that only came with age fill him. "That's because you just pulled it out." He said coolly, and a little condescendingly. "What are you doing here? I thought Ravenclaws were s'posed to be smart."

Aquila looked up at the voice, and saw that it was an older Slytherin boy. His tone had left something to be desired but Aquila wasn't really in the mood to pick a fight - besides he was use to those words being said to him in that tone for really it happened all too often.

So instead of being snarky like he might have, he gave his usual easy-going smirk.

"I thought so too, but I guess someone forgot to tell the hat," Aquila responded. "Or maybe it was me they forgot to tell."

Bending his hand slightly he looked at the marks again. The shock had worn off, and with that he could deal with the stinging slightly better. Of all the types of wounds he'd gotten for some reason it was the stinging ones he handled the worst.

"Hmm, do you think that'll scar?" he thought ponderingly. Usually there was someone around him panicking so much that all his mishaps were fixed with ease and all evidence of it was gone, "I think I might like having a scar."

Jet raised an eyebrow at the boy. Well, at least he knew he was stupid.

"I dunno, it didn't look like that deep of a bite." He paused, a smirk forming on his lips. "But if you plan on getting a scar, you should at least think of a cooler story than what's happened." He imitated the boys voice. "hey guys! Guess what!! I was in the restricted Section and I pulled out this book and it BIT me!!!!!" Jet rolled his eyes. "That's pathetic. I say you go with a dragon. Or something else as feirce."

Aquila rolled his eyes at the boy's comment, "What do you take me for, an amature? Of course I wasn't going to say a book bit me."

He looked at the bite for a few more moments, apraising it thoughtfully.

"Dragon's pretty good, but the mark's too small. I dragon would have taken off my whole hand," the boy stated, "Unless it was a baby dragon... but somehow adding baby just makes it less... less everything."

He flexed his hand a couple of times, getting use to the way the skin tugged and pulled around the gashes the teeth made. It wasn't so bad. He had much worse before, and he would definitely live.

He shrugged, "I'll think of something."

Jet shrugged. "I think saying you smuggled a baby dragon is good. It's illegal, and therefore, daring, and also a good story." He pulled a book off the shelf, stroked the spine, and opened it, reading a few pages. He read a few lines. "Why are you even in here?"

Aquila mused that point for a moment, and then nodded. He may use that one if he ever needed to.

As the other boy started reading - something Aquila wasn't sure he wanted to do, even among these books - he gingerly picked up the book that had bit him, and placed it back on the shelf, giving it a childish glare for good measure.

He was letting his eye wander the spins before him again, wondering if he wanted to risk taking another off the shelf when the boy spoke.

"I like place I'm not supposed to be in," he answered with a shrug like it was no big deal, and really it wasn't. For the young Ravenclaw it was just a fact of life, "Forbiden, restricted... titles like that pretty much garentee I will find a way to check it out."

He pointed over his shoulder back the way he came, "The librarian was distracted so... seemed like as good a time as any."

Jet shrugged, his eyes glinting with humor as he looked up at the boy. "It's not really that interesting back here though." he gestured to all the books. "Most of these are in my own personal library at home. I've read most of them a thousand times. They're only dark magic, questionable history and deadly potions. Things the teachers don't think are suitable for us yet. Other than that, there's nothing really back here."

Jet sighed and closed his book, placing it carefully back on the shelf. "But if you plan on staying here, and other places "Forbidden" and "Restricted", I suggest you stroke their spines before you open them. Some of them scream." He smiled a rueful smile and pushed himself off the bookshelf. "Maybe I'll see you around, eh?" Without waiting for an answer, Jet pushed through the door that separated the Library from the Restricted Section and was gone.
