Elizabeth walked down from her office to the Occlumency classroom she entered the room and slowly walked over to her and and sat down behind her desk, and began flipping through the pages of " 21 Devious Charms" and paused over a charm which made a person turn to stone a smirk appeared across Elizabeth's face as she began to think of the multiple people she could use this on

Elizabeth then glanced up at the clock on the wall, she had been told by Asric that there was only one second year enrolled into Occlumency. Elizabeth didn't think there would be many, as for she belived that not many students would have the skill required for this class. Elizabeth then went back to reading her charms book.

She wasn't to worried when her only student would arrive, as for she had a sneaking suspicion that they would probably ditch her class and use this time as a spare. Elizabeth didn't mind though as long as she was getting paid she was quite happy

    J. J. made her way towards the Occlomency classroom nervously. She was pretty sure that she had been the only one in her year to sign up for this class.

She wasn't entirely thrilled with that, but... it seemed like a useful skill to learn, so J. J. was going to stick with it.

Slowly, she opened the door, and glanced into the room. Her heart sunk.

The Professor was a very pretty woman, it was true, but see also seemed very... not very kind. And J. J. didn't mean that in the way Miss Mad came across as unkind. This woman seemed...

    Well J. J. didn't like it.

But she wasn't going to give up - not now.

Slowly she slipped into the room and gave a little nod to the teacher.

    "Hello Professor."

Elizabeth heard a student walk into the classroom, she looked up from her book and saw a Hufflepuff girl, she greeted Elizabeth, Elizabeth was some what surprized that the girl even showed up

Elizabeth then slammed her book shut, and stood up quickly, she had gotten up with such force her chair hit the wall " Right" Elizabeth said fiercely her eyes fixed on the Hufflepuff girl, she then walked around to the front of her desk still keeping strong eye contact with the girl

Elizabeth then looked the girl up and down " So you must be Miss Jones, well lets see what you know about Occlumency already shall we?" Elizabeth asked with a smirk on her face, while she had pulled out her wand and began slowly stroking it

She then looked up at the girl with a sort of firce glare, waiting for her to reply

    J. J. jumped as the Professor spoke rather loudly and the chair hit the wall, but she refused to break eye contact with this woman.

"I-I," her voice shook for a moment, as she glance nervously at the wand. For some reason she felt more like she was about to be attacked rather than taught. Finally she took a deep breath and squared her shoulders, "I did not take this class last year so I do not know much. I have read the basics though. I know that when perfected you should be able to protect your own thoughts from those trying to get at them."

Some how admitting that she was more or less ignorant and defensless when it came to actually using occlumency seemed like a silly thing to do with this teacher, but what else was there to do? She would probably just get into the same amount of trouble either way. The fact was, she didn't know how to use it.

That was why she was here.

J.J. told Elizabeth that this was her first year studying Occlumency, Elizabeth sighed then rolled her eyes. " Well perhaps you should be with my first years don't you think" Elizabeth said rudely while she let out a small laugh

" Well im not starting from basics just becuase you couldn't be bothered to take this class in your first year" Elizabeth snapped at J.J., Elizabeth then eyed the girl up and down once more with a look of disgust

" So today I will be teaching you about how to conceal your name from someone who is attempting to gain access to your mind, so I want you to think of every possible time that some has called you J.J. then imagine them calling you another name" Elizabeth leaned back on her desk

" Hurry up don't take all day Miss Jones, tell me when your done" Elizabeth began to strum her fingers on the old wooden desk waiting for J.J. to finish collecting her memories

    J. J. ignored the woman's rude comments - only flinching slightly at the sharp tone that she was constantly using. She could feel irritation at the woman's insulting tone boiling up in her, but she refused to let it out. That certainly wouldn't help the sitution.

Instead she did what she was best at - meekly following orders.

The request sounded ridiculous, and time consuming, but at least she had an easy name to replace it with. After all, no said anything about which name she was supposed be be concelling.

Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, she went about thinking of anytime she could remember her name begin used and putting Juliet in the people's mouths.

After a few long moments, she nodded and opened her eyes.

    "Finished."

Elizabeth waited impatiently and then finally J.J. had finished, Elizabeth then aimed her wand at J.J. " Now im going to access your mind and try and discover your name, if you've done what I told you correctly then I should only find your false name" Elizabeth then gave a smirk and added "And judging by you i highly doubt you could do anything correctly let alone something as advanced as Occlumency"

Elizabeth then flick her wand sharply at J.J. and entered her mind and began accessing her memories, seeing if J.J. could hold her false name against Elizabeths strong Legilimency powers

    J. J. suppressed a glare. If this woman thought she was going to 'put her in her place' by insulting her she had another thing coming. It was true that she was passive in almost ever sense of the word, but if there was one thing that the Hufflepuff girl didn't allow, at least to herself, was for someone to tell her she was worse than she was. In this case, she knew she as capable of doing magic, and doing some of it quite well. She wasn't going to let this one go by without a fight.

Juliet, she thought stubornly, I am and always was Juliet.

She held onto that resolve as she felt the sickening pull of the spell. If she had thought appariation was bad...

The young girl felt helpless as her memories surfed by one after another, and she had no control to hid any of them. She saw Christmases from her childhood, when they had all still felt like a family. There was her sorting; the first time she used magic; that first god aweful apparation trip, and the time she almost thew her wand the commonroom fireplace.

All the while, with ever memory that turned up, she stubornly held onto the facade of Juliet... which since it was her given name - one she never identified herself with anymore but the knowledge was still there - wasn't quite so hard.

But after a long fight - what felt like hours, but couldn't have been more than five, made seven minutes - she felt her energy depleat and her resolve weaken with it. Very shortly she came upon one of the memories she could not change.

She was young, maybe seven or eight, and she was hiding out in her room. Her eyes were red and puffy from crying. The neighborhood kids had made fun of her name again. She hated it; she hated being Juliet. Her brother came into the room and tried to comfort her. After a long series of things that didn't work, he thought up an idea.

"It's okay," he said the tone he always used while trying to comfort her, "You don't have to be Juliet ever again. Who needs Juliet Jessica - you are J. J. - J. J. Jones."

[OOC: Hey guys well as you probably have realised im a Ministry Worker now, so Miles Bloxam will be taking over the class until someone applys for the job, so we're just going to adjust the class a little bear with]

Elizabeth was surprized that J.J. put up a not to bad of a resistance, Elizabeth then pushed in harder and soon cracks started to appear in J.J.'s shield and soon Elizabeth was viewing the memory of when J.J. first got called J.J.

" Hmp pathetic, just as I thought" Elizabeth said to J.J., she wasn't surprized that she broke through J.J.'s shield

Elizabeth then leaned back on her desk and was wondering why the Ministry hadn't replied to her application They said I would know before the start of term Elizabeth thought angerily to herself

Miles was on his way to the Occlumency classroom after Asric gave him a letter from the Ministry of Magic to give to Elizabeth. Miles apporached the door and gave it a loud knock then entered

He stood at the doorway and quickly looked around the classroom he saw Elizabeth sitting at her desk looking rather unimpressed " Oh Elizabeth hi there, um Asric wanted me to give you this letter its from the Ministry he said it was very important"

Miles walked slowly up to Elizabeth's desk and handed her the letter

Elizabeth heard a knock on the door, and in entered the young Professor Bloxam, Elizabeth gave him a firm glare. He told Elizabeth that she had a letter from the Ministry of Magic as Miles walked up to hand her the letter she quickly snatched it out of his hands

Elizabeth tapped her wand on the letter, and it instanly formed a mouth and eyes and began speaking to her

    Dear Madam Lestrange
The Ministry of Magic has come to the descison to employ you as an Obliviator, your job as you would be aware of is to ensure to keep the wizarding world hidden from muggles by using memory charms. Your employment with the Ministry is effective from today, we have had communications with Asric Chaos who has told us that he will find a temporay subsitute for your position

Hoping you are well; Quin Macbeth[i]

Elizabeth looked up at Miles, " Well i presume your the temporay Professor" Elizabeth said sharply

As Miles handed Elizabeth the letter he felt it very firmly being ripped from his hands, Miles looked down at the floor as the letter was speaking, he didn't want Elizabeth to think he was eavesdropping

Elizabeth snapped at Miles, he was taken back and went a bit red in the face as he always did when he became nervous

"Yes thats correct, I will just be taking over you class until they find a replacement, just make sure you leave your lesson plans on your desk in your office"

Miles said still feeling very uncomfortable around Elizabeth

Elizabeth then looked Miles up and down, then gave a smile smirk " Well got luck with this pathetic bunch" Elizabeth said then let out a laugh and pushed past Miles and walked out the classroom slamming the door behind her

Elizabeth was so happy that she would be leaving Hogwarts and all it's pathetic students

    J. J. flushed but refrained from a comment as she was called pathetic. It was about the seventh or eight time the Professor had done so this class and it was starting to lose a bit of it's affect.

Before anything else could happen, another man - another Proffessor J. J. assumed - came in and handed Professor Lestrange a letter. She tried to look uninterested as they spoke, but she couldn't help hearing and couldn't help but feel like she had doged a bullet. She had not been looking forward to being the woman's sole bunching bag for the rest of the year.

"Good-bye Professor," she called out to the closed - slammed is more like it - door in the usual sugary-sweet tone she always ended up using when she was annoyed at someone.

Once she left the room was silent for a moment. J. J. tapped her foot awkwardly before turning to the new Professor.

"So... what are we doing now Professor..." she trailed off not entirely sure she knew this Professor's name or not.

The Hufflepuff girl asked what they were doing now, Miles heistated for a while then quickly walked over to the desk and looked at Elizabeth's lesson plan, Miles looked up at the Hufflepuff girl then walked around to the front of the desk

" Well according to the lesson plan your learning about faking for name, so can you give me three reasons why you would need to produce a false name" Miles then waved his wand over his hand and a small bag of chocolate frogs appreared

" And of course if there will be a reward if you can get all three" Miles said gesturing to the chocolate frogs

He then suddenly realised he hadn't introduced himself " Oh im Professor Bloxam by the way, I actually teach History of Magic so this is all abit foregin to me" Miles said with a little laugh

    J. J. gave the professor a small smile, "Nice to meet you Professor Bloxam; I'm J. J. Jones."

"Hmm," she paused for a long moment thinking through the question, "Well... obviously you'd need to hid your name if you were sneaking in somewhere - say spying on the 'otherside' or some other situation where you wouldn't want other people to know who you really are."

She bit her lip trying to think of the other two situations.

"Maybe if you don't want to get in trouble," she gave the teacher a little half smirk, "or... you don't want someone to find you again - a fake name may help again... though that is a lot like my first guess."

She thought for another long moment, but finally gave up with a shurg, "That's all I can think of at the moment Professor."

    J. J. almost felt like laughing at the difference between the Professors. Still she eagarly took a chocolate frog, and munched on it as she thought up her new name.

Leaning back in her chair she closed her eyes and created a lovely scene in which - as the teacher requested - Zach went about calling her Emily. They first time it seemed so ridiculous that she actually did let out a laugh, but she stuck with it, running it over and over in her head until she was quite convinced that the scene had actyally taken place,

"okay," she nodded. "I'm ready when you are professor."

Miles stood up from his desk and walked a closer to J.J. and he was abit nervous "You'll have to forgive me, im not a very skilled Legilimen" Miles said weakly

he then flicked his wand toward J.J. surging a pulse of mental energy into J.J.'s mind hoping that he would be able to break the false memory

    J. J. thought it was funny that the professor was apologizing to her - like she cared or could even tell the difference between a skilled legilimen or a talentless fraud - but she just nodded in awknowledgement of the comment.

When the spell came it was much less agressive than Professor Lestrange's had been, but J. J. chose to believe it was because the intent behind this charm wasn't quite as... agressive as the last Professors.

Having done it once before, and the pull being not quite as hard, made it easier to hold onto her 'memory'. It still took great amounts of effort to do so, but she held on much longer.

This time she let the memory - and Emily - play out for a good ten maybe even fifteen minutes before her walls cracked and a J. J. slipped out.

Miles tried hard to break the memory, but J.J.'s shield was quite strong, all he kept getting was Emily, but Miles kept at it until eventually he manged to crack the memory

Miles lowered down his wand and looked up at J.J " Well done Miss Jones that was quite impressive, five points to Hufflepuff" Miles then turned around and leaned on his desk " So while your shield did crack at the end, you held it strong for a solid fifteen minutes which would trick any Ligilimen if they didn't know your name"

Miles then waved his wand over the chalk and it began writing on the board " So J.J. I will just get you to copy down those few notes on creating a false memory" Miles then sat down behind the desk writing down some of the things he would teach next as he waited for J.J. to finish writing down the notes

Quietly she pulled out her parchment and quill writing the note down in even handwriting.

When she was finished she set the quill aside and waited for further instruction.

" Ok so now we have learned about changing your name, we're going to try something a little more difficult. I'm going to get you to change your brothers name to anything you like. Now it's quite difficult to hold a fake name for someone who you care deeply about, so just take some time and tell me when your ready"

Miles leaned back on his desk, he knew this would be quite challening but felt J.J. was ready to attempt it

    J. J. nodded. Fundementally it seemed easy enough but she trusted the Professor. There had to be something she was missing - something that one just couldn't understand unless she was actually doing it.

Leaning back into her chair she bit her lip as she pulled into her imagination finding a name for Zach that wasn't Zach. Frank, she decided with a small smirk, Let's call him Frank.

With that decided she did what she had done last time and carefully slipped "Frank" into her memories. After she was sure she was done as much as she could be she took a deep breath and nodded.

"As ready as I'll ever be, Professor."
