Lesson 1 (Third years)

Lenora walked into her classroom and sat at her desk in the front. She waited for her students to come into the classroom.

Anna hopped in, glad to be the first person in class again. She grinned at Professor Malfoy before settling down on a seat.

Iris came in the classroom cheerily and skipped to her seat after greeting the professor with a wave of her anxious hand to get a hold on casting spells once and for all,

"Good morning, Professor Malfoy! Enjoyed summer if I may ask?" she asked kindly.

She turned to greet her Ravenclaw friend and beamed, "Hiya Anna!"

Caleb walked into class to see two girls. One from his house and one from Ravenclaw. Caleb walked further into the classroom. "Good morning professor Malfoy" Caleb addressed. Caleb took a seat at a table. "Also hello to you ladies hope you had a great summer" Caleb said to his classmates.

Thomas walked into the classroom. "Good morning professor" said Thomas. Thomas sat behind Caleb. "Hey Caleb". Thomas noticed Iris and Anna. "Hey Anna and Iris" Thomas smiled and got out what he needed.

Iris smiled at Tom and greeted him back with a slight wave from her sitting position, "Hey Tom!" she noticed the first Slytherin boy who arrived and gave him a quick nod with a shy grin, "Hi. Caleb right?"

It was him for sure. The guy Tom was talking about over the train ride. She felt the heat rush through her veins and rushed towards her pale face. Humiliated, Iris bowed her head down at the table and hid her face with her hair, quite laughing to herself for that impression.

Thomas saw Iris looking down. Thomas went over there and tapped her. "You no you could always saw yes to that double date with me, Crystal, and Caleb, so you don't have to blush when you see him" Thomas whispered in Iris's ear.

Caleb turned to the girl Iris. "Yeah the name is Caleb List nice to meet you Iris" Caleb smiled at her and turned around. Caleb had to admit she was really pretty.

"Good day Professor," Iris greeted as she entered the class. She took a seat and waited for class to begin.

Iris tilted her head up and gave Tom a nod as an agreement, "Sure, sure. Whatever you may prefer. I trust my instincts in you." then giggled.

She turned to the familiar voice and stood up, walked over to Grayson and hugged her surprisingly, "Hiya! Missed you girl."

She faced Caleb and smiled him, this time getting used to the embarrassment, "Pleasure to meet you too."

Anna grinned at Eye. She then looked at Caleb, and back at Eye. She was simply interested on what was going on between them.

She saw Grayson enter the classroom. "Hey Grayson!" she grinned.

Iris stared at Anna. She felt some intriguing presence within her friend. She shrugged and pretended to be irritated by her glances, "Nice one Anna."

Iris grinned and hugged her friend back tight. "Missed you too Eye! How was your summer?" She hugged Anna as well and said, "Hope your holidays were good!"

Crystal walked in and so happy she wasn't late.

"Hello Professor." She said this and as she began walking to her seat she saw her friends and Tom sitting near ech other. She walked up and sat next to Eye.

"Hello. What are you guys talking about over here?" she asked curious as she waited for class to begin. She turned and saw a boy she had seen once or twice around Tom. She was pretty sure this was Caleb, the one they were talking about on the train.

"Hello I'm Crystal and it's Caleb correct?" She asked.

Iris answered Grayson's question with a smile. Her summer was fine and simple. Nothing went wrong and extraordinary of course. Meeting new friends over the break at Hogsmeade was sure an exception,

"It was fine. Made a couple of friends. But all in all it was still good." she then turned to look at the newly-arrived Chrys and said all guiltily, "Nothing!"

Iris shrugged again and blushed one more time as she took her seat. Hoping that Chrys wouldn't know. That would be quite impossible since Tom would tell the rest of the story soon. She had enough of the embarrassment. If only she can pretend perfectly and hide her feelings.

Caleb saw a girl from Ravenclaw talking to him. "Yes it's Caleb and i'm guessing your the Crystal that my best friend over here couldn't stop talking about during the summer" Caleb said looking at Tom and chuckling at his face expression.

"Look who's going to blush now, Tom! Ha!"

Iris teased with a soft laugh at the couple after hearing Caleb's commentary which is a fact for sure.

Lenora grinned at her students. "My summer was wonderful even if my daughter ignored me during most of it. Anyway can anyone of you tell me what the spell Glacius is" Lenora asked.

"It's a spell used to freeze things..." Iris replied hesitantly, not sure of the answer.

"Correct Iris, 15 points to Gryffindor. Today we will be learning that charm. I think we learned that last year but we didn't get to spend that much time on it. So we will be spending quite sometime on this, if you don't get it right the first time then it doesn't matter. If i see you are not making progress i will set up a private tutoring session on it. When i see you are all making progress we will be taking a test on this. Now i will pick someone to go over to the fire and do the spell. Now i want Iris Frances to go over to the fire and say Gla-si-us." Lenora said.

Iris nodded and did was she was told. She walked over the fire and muttered the spell, "Glacius." she smiled in success once the fire in the middle froze.

Hades walked knocked on the door and entered. "Sorry I'm late I got lost" Hades apologized and took a seat. Man now he needed a map around the school.

Alexis entered the class. Her face already flushed in embarrasment.
'I'm sorry I'm late professor.' she mumbled. And proceeded to the front of he class.

"Okay we will be partnering up for this" Lenora made a small fire for each group of too. "Okay I will partner you up, Alexis your with Annabeth, Crystal your with Thomas, Iris Frances you are with Caleb, and Iris Grayson you are with Hades. Now meet your partner and you will each use the spell on the fire. Good luck" Lenora said to her students.

Caleb got out of his seat and walked over and sat next to Iris. "What's smoking good looking" Caleb joked around. "You want to go first with the spell" Caleb asked.
