The lonely warrior

Aireon entered the Great Hall. He knew his clothing seemed a bit old fashioned, but it was his. He leaned in an alcove on the wall. His piercing blue eyes scanned the crowd. He took out a coin and began to pass it along his fingers. It was a trick that not many people knew.

He lightly hummed a tune to himself. This was going to be a long night.

She was walking around, when she saw a guy standing alone. Shly, she walked over to him. "Hello, I am Dulce." She held out a hand.

She saw the girl she was talking to earlier approaching a guy that looked about her age. Not wanting to stand there alone anymore, Tesla went after her and watched her introducing herself.

"Gordon, Tesla", she said to both of them, fixing her belt that got loose.

She smiled at the girl, she had talked to earlier. "Hello Tesla." She greeted. "You doing o.k so far?" She asked.

Aireon shook her hand. He placed the coin back in his pocket.

"A pleasure, Dulce and Tesla. I'm Aireon Thiren," he said. He inclined his head to the other girl. He stayed leaned on the wall, not wanting to move. He felt the weight of the gauntlet on his arm, even though it was concealed from plain view.

"Greetings, Aireon." She said, smiling a little. "Doing o.k? Do you have somebody with you?" She asked, leaning against a wall beside him.

"Yes thank you", she replied to Dulce with a polite smile. "Everything is good so far."

The boy and the girl were both leaned on a wall and she stayed on her spot, feeling slightly awkward about it. Maybe I came in the wrong moment?, she wondered, trying to fix her belt again.

"That's great." She beamed at Tesla. Tesla brought a bit of her old self, and she loved that. Not much people could do that.

"Are you liking the dance so far?" She asked her.

"I think I am", she responded honestly. "Even if I'm not getting any of that dance part, at least I get to wore this pretty dress my brother send me from France."
