Dancing is like dreaming with your feet (Invitation)

Melanie once again brushed her hand over the fabric of her dress, she had been doing it a lot ever since she had gotten it via owl two days ago, her mother had generously bought it for her, which came as a bit of a surprise, the McKinnon's sure weren't poor, but buying expensive gifts (dresses) for just a school ball, wasn't like her mother, but whatever had been the reason for her mother's sudden interest in her school life and wear, Mel appreciated it a lot (even more because it arrived with cookies in a box and the dress was purple).

She sighed, staring at the already crowded dance floor from her seat (she had snagged an empty table and was waiting for some friends, or well for Letti mostly).

She hated the she was ALONE at a dance right now, because she and James hadn't had the chance to talk about going together (they hadn't talked about anything for a while to be honest).

Sighing again, the blonde fourteen year old Ravenclaw, teared her hands from her dress and used them to hold her head up on the table as she watched beautiful girls and handsome boys twirl on the dance floor.

Letti walked into the Great Hall in awe. Everything around her was just so beautiful that she wasn't thinking about where she was going or what she was doing. It was just so surreal.

The blond's feet continued to move even though she was still gaping at her surroundings, and she bumped into a table. The table just so happened to have her cousin sitting there.

"Oh, hey, Mel," Letti smiled as she fiddled with the hem of her grey dress. "You look nice."
