Welcome Home (Crystal Wells) (Open)

Riley kept her head held up as she confidently answered the question to enter her Common Room. It had taken her only fifteen minutes to find it this time-her personal best. The door opened, and Riley walked into the room that had become her home.
There was almost no one left in the Common Room. Riley had been wandering the castle-again. She really needed to stop doing that at some point. Knowing she had homework, and not really giving a crap, Riley plopped herself down in a chair near the fireplace, dropping her bag on the floor with a loud thunk. Settling into her chair, wide awake-stupid insomnia-Riley gazed into the flames, not even noticing the girl in the chair next to her.

Crystal was in the common room reading and was taken by surprise as a girl came in and st down in the chair next to her. "Hello." she said smiling and looking at her she looked to be about her age.

Riley looked over at the girl-she looked vaguely familiar. "Hi!" Riley said, moving her legs to a more comfortable position. The girl looked to be about her age, maybe a little older. "Do I know you from somewhere?"

Crystal thought about the question "Um I'm not sure." she said thinking "We might have classes together." she said smiling. "I'm Crystal Wells, but you can call me Crys." she said reaching to shake the girl's hand.

Riley smiled back and shook Crys's hand. "My name's Riley and...well, you can call me Riley!" Riley crossed her legs underneath herself and faced Crys. "What classes do you take, Crys? I know that I've seen you before."

"Well I am a 3rd year and I take Flying, Charms, Potions and DADA." she said smiling Riley was a really nice person. "What classes do you take?" she asked throwing her legs over the side of the arm of the couch.

"Umm...Care of Magical Creatures, Astronomy, Charms, DADA, and...hmm...and-oh, yeah! And Transfiguration!" Riley smiled. "I think you sit near me in DADA. That's why you looked so familiar." You could nearly see the lightbulb above Riley's head.
"So, you play Quidditch?" Riley had noticed she took flying. "I don't play for the team, because I kinda sorta suck." Riley laughed.

Crystal must have been getting tired because she burst out laughing at this "I doubt you suck and yes I do play Quidditch. It is my favorite thing besides reading." she said and smiled and glanced at the stack of books she had, only two of them being books for her subjects.

Riley laughed too, because she really did suck. Her brother still blamed her for giving him that concussion...possibly because it was her fault. "Trust me, I suck. Badly."
Riley looked curiously at the stack of books. "I prefer writing to reading, personally, and music over sports. But I still love to read. Other than crap for class, what are you reading?" Riley might have liked writing better, but it had been so long since she had read a good book, and she was hungry for some literature.

"well I am reading some muggle books at the moment" she said picking up one of them to show her and then she asked "You like music? I do too!" she said excited because the best thing to her was talking about music with her friends.

Riley recognized the book. It was one she had read-a while back, though, and considering she couldn't remember what she did yesterday, there was no way she remembered the book.
"Oh, yeah, I love music! I actually play a couple of instruments. What do you listen to?" Riley inquired.
