Lesson Three - 1st Years

Hristo entered the potions classroom and looked around, he was pleased to see all the caldrons were already placed onto the benches, Hristo then casually walked to the front of the room and dropped his bag on the floor. He then grabed a piece of chalk sitting on the edge of his desk and wrote " Shrinking Potion" on the board

Hristo then walked around to the front of his desk and leaned against it, he folded his arms and stared at the door as he waited for his 1st years to arrive

Linkin nodded slightly at the Professor as he entered the class. He took a seat and waited for rest of the students to arrive.

Hristo saw the Hrabrost boy from last lesson enter the classrom, Hristo decided he would start the class seeming as though the other student was permantly evicted from his class

" Right Mr Rawthorn we will be learning how to brew the Shrinking Potion, a potion which allows the drinker to shrink in size" Hristo said in his usual cold tone, he then narrowed his eyes down on the boy " Tell me Mr Rawthorn, in what situtation would this potion be useful?"

"Well, since it allows the drinker to shrink in size and age, it would come in helpful if one wanted to do something in secrecy. And if fallen in the wrong hands, it can be manipulated accordingly." Linkin replied, just guessing on the answer.

Hristo nodded at the boy's answer " Yes, that would suitable situations to use this potion" he said coldly before walking to his desk and picking up a piece of chalk and began writting the instructions of the potion on the board

Ingridents
-Minced daisy roots
-Peeled Shrivelfig
-Sliced caterpillars
-One rat spleen
- 1 tablespoon of leech juice


Method
-Place rat spleen and minced daisy roots into a bubbling caldron
-Soak Shrivelfig in the leech juice for 12 mintues
-Once done at the soaked Shrivelfig into the caldron it should be a dark green colour at this stage
- Turn the caldron to a high heat
- While caldron is on high heat, at sliced caterpillars one slice at a time
- The potion should now be a light green colour

Hristo then turned around and place down the chalk on the desk and looked over at the Hrabrost boy " Well the instructions are on the board, follow them carefully and be sure to bottle a sample once you are done" Hristo then sat down at his desk and began grading his 3rd years essays
