There are many times when his mannerisms betray his age, however. Ethon tends to use rather colloquial terms and holds ideas that are rather archaic. Though, he seems to have adapted to world as it is, now, he really is a man out of his time.

Ethon's patience is matched only by his blinding temper and fierce protective streak. It takes a great deal to cause Ethon to lose control. When he does, devastation follows in his wake.

Overall history: Ethon was born in the 800s to a powerful family at the time. Gifted of magic, and quick to learn, for some reason, Ethon caught the attention of the demon Djinn who had begun to plot against his maker. 

He fell in love with a beautiful woman, whom he discovered was immortal. Not wanting to be parted from her by his inevitable death, Ethon went (at her suggestion) to a 'man' who could gift him with immortality, little knowing she was a she-demon seducing him at Djinn's behest. A deal was struck: Ethon's soul for immortality, his use as a vessel in exchange for knowledge. Before it could be sealed, however, Ethon's younger brother chanced upon them, insisting that he, too, receive immortality.

The following day, the brothers woke with a burning in their throat and an aversion to the sunlight. To bear the light, they made themselves rings which protected them. The thirst, however, could be quenched only one way: by drinking the blood of a human.

Such was the creation of the first vampires.
