Where'd You Go? (Open)

Aquila was spending his summer as he spent every summer - and every day before he had to go to school and Ceph was old to do so (thus no one was hovering to keep him out of trouble) - he was wandering the country side lookind for something interesting to dwell upon. After the luxery of being back in England - and no longer worrying about compeletly butchering the language - had worn off. Quil fell on what he always fell upon.

Boredum.

And boredum usually spelt out trouble for him - if he could find it.

So imagine his surprise, a sort of bitter, twisted surprise he felt he possibly could have done without, when he stumbled upon a place he had been before.

Sure he imagined that most caves looked a like, so honestly, how could he tell this was the one? But he knew it just the same. He could feel it in his heart, that it was the truth.

The last time he had been here, he'd been here with Tobias... Tobi...

He blinked as he looked around him. In fact, that might have been the last time he saw him. Everything seemed so hazy confusing now but...

The boy hadn't been there when he went back to school. He had expected him to be there, and then there was just...

Wandering further into the cavern, he flopped himself on the ground, and pulled his knees into his chest. It wasn't exactly that he was alone now, he had Ceph - he always had Ceph although it wasn't quite the same - and well... he thought he maybe might - at least would like - to have Pieter, but nothing now erased the hollow abandoned feeling he had felt before.

That he was feeling now. Just stepping into the cave seemed to revert time back. His brain seemed to think he should turn his head and see Tobi there but he wasn't. There was no one else in the cave - it was just him.

Quil was suddenly so very alone.

Adrian walked into the cave, she wanted to check it out, to see if it would be safe to hide her "Portable Swamps" we she had manged to replicated off the famous Weasly Brothers. As she walked through the cave she felt the ground to see how moist it was and looked up taking note of any pieces of rocks which could fall on the Portable Swamps

She ventured further into the cave, she then stopped as she saw a boy... he seemed to be lost in his thoughts, she walked past him and smiled " Hello" she quietly murmed she then began checking out this area, seeing if this would be a better spot to store her swamps

Quil barely heard the footsteps as another person entered the cave. It wasn't like he had been expecting such a place to be frequently inhabited and was lost in thought anyways.

It wasn't until he heard the voice, actually adressing him that he - slowly - pulled himself back to reality.

He stared at the girl rather unseeingly for a long moment, blinking slowly, each time becoming more aware of what was around him.

"Oh," he said in English, using a surprisingly large amount of effort to put on his usual wide smile. "Hello there."

Paloma was tired. Very tired. Add that to the storm, and Paloma was now tired and wet.

She huffed as she tried to find a place to stay for a while, until things calmed down and she could go home. She was getting frustrated, not to mention soaked, when she spotted a cave.

"Thank you God!" she muttered to the sky and rushed inside. She was throwing her head around, trying to dry her hair and didn't even notice there were people there until she heard voices.

"Hello," she greeted the two, "Sorry if I'm interrupting."

She looked at the boy and recognized him immediately. She smirked at him, "Hello, Master. What brings you here?"

Adrian heard the boy reply, but in English, she didn't understand what he was saying as for she only spoke Russian, Adrian then looked back at him with a confused look "Um... good thanks" she said hoping that her response was correct. She then saw a girl walk into the cave soaking wet

Adrian stood up and walked closer to the two, thankfully the girl was speaking Russian " Hi, so what happened to you" she asked the girl watching the water slowly drip off her

Aquila looked at the girl, regestering her confused face and resisted the urge to sigh in annoyance. It was obvious that she did not understand him. Even at home did he need to use Russian now.

"Sorry," he continued in russian and repeated his greeting, "You go to Durmstrang yes?"

Quil blinked at the second arrival before laughing. He couldn't stop himself. He kind of needed it so he didn't really care but she just looked soo...

"Just practicing letting loose were we?" he asked, still in Russian. He had accepted his fate. "Did it start to rain or did you dive into a lake?"

He really kind of hoped for that later, cause if it was the former he had been sitting in this cave wallowing to himself for a lot longer than he had thought.

Rose walked into the cave humming as she closed her umbrella. I always knew bringing this today would be a good decision she thought as she looked around.

"So this is the Silent Cave" she mumbled to herself. She began wandering around but stopped as she heard voices. "So much for silent" she mumbled again. She shook her head and turned around the corner to see 3 people, really she was only expecting one.Goes to show people like cavesshe thought.

Rose tilted her head "Hello" she called out in English. "Who's there?" she asked, she did not know who would enter the cave but may it be her friends she wanted to make sure.

Adrian was reliefed when the boy spoke in Russian, " Yeah im from Durmstrang, and I know what you Hogwarts kids think about us but I can ensure you weren't not all cut throat Mafia Lords" she said with abit of a chuckle

Adrian then heard a voice calling out, it was in english she had no idea what it was, she really should have studied English before she came over, it's just she found most people were happy to switch to Russian for her

Rose stopped in her tracks, she sighed listening closely Russians she thought. She sighed rubbing her temples. She did not want to be speaking Russian, it was too much a hassle. She shook her head and called out this time in Russian "Hello? Who's there?"

Rose sighed and stepped out of the shadows observing the 3 persons there. She tilted her head as her eyes changed to dark blue, wondering, but she was sure it can't be seen in the dark. "Who are you?" she asked in Russian, nodding to the girl that last spoke.

Paloma looked at the girl, "Hi. Oh, well, you know. . . nature's very fond of me. Rain just happens to love being in my presence."

"Letting loose, yes, haven't done much of that lately," she muttered and answered his question, "And rain. A lot of it."

She heard another person come in and turned around. She was about to answer in English since it was the language the girl had asked the question, and they were in the UK after all, but the new girl switched to Russian a moment later. Honestly, all this English and Russian switching was starting to annoy her.

"Hello?" she said, "Uh, who am I? I'm Paloma Poots, I guess. Who are you?"

Quil managed a half smile at the first girl, "Oh I know - I do happen to attend the school for about half a year or so. No one has attempted to mob boss me yet."

"Tut, tut, Poots, I thought we talked about this - you were going to learn to have a little more fun," he smiled and gave a little laugh then before glancing out the front of the cave. So he had been completely out of it for longer than he thought. That was wonderful.

"Aquila Turrow," he waved at the newest arrival and then all of them for general greetings.

Rose frowned as she did not recognize any of the names that have been said, However she did hear Poots question and noticed a bit of irritation in her voice. "I'm Rose Ann Lucinda"she said as she approached them.

She smiled at all of them yet stopped to Poots. "I'm so sorry, Paloma was it?, for changing the way i spoke at the last minute"she said apologetically in Russian.Rose then tilted her head to the other girl. "But your friend here, from the look on her face, does not understand English, doesn't she?"she asked as her eyes went back to being violet, apprehensive, which was appropriate she did not know any of them.

"I'm trying, Turrow, I am," Paloma said, "Haven't had much time yet."

She turned to the girl who introduced herself as Rose Ann Lucinda, "Oh, no, it's fine. I don't think she understands English, but I wouldn't really know. . . I just met her."

"Are you from Durmstrang?" she asked Rose. English was kind of the 'universal language', but she hadn't met a lot of people who were able to speak Russian and didn't go to Durmstrang.

"I told you Poots - you make time," he shook his head in mock pitty, "I have I taught you nothing?"

He leaned back againt the wall tilting his head and staring up at the ceiling.

He wondered if he could do something stupid... and for once he was actually tempted to do it because it was stupid.

Huh? What an odd sort of feeling. He wondered what was up with it, with him. He wouldn't know, he barely paid attention to his own emotions.

"It's not that easy," she muttered. Not right now, not with her parents around, she couldn't be a disappointment. But it's summer, a voice in the back of her head reminded her, you don't have to study or keep your grades up. . . you can have fun.

"But just what would you suggest I do?" she asked him.

Rose coughed quietly and directed her attention to Poots. "Yes I am from Durmstrang, newly sorted in fact" she said shuffling on her feet and looking at the ground. She shook her head and looked at Poots "Are you from Durmstrang?" she asked.

"Oh, really? That's cool, Durmstrang's a really cool school," she said, "I go there as well. Just finished my 3rd year, I'm in Uchitel."

Rose coughed and turned her attention to the Poots girl. "Yes I am from Durmstrang, newly sorted actually" she said affirming Poot's question. She glanced at the other person, she recalled Poots calling him 'Turrow'.

She shook her head and looked at them both. "You both from Durmstrang too I suppose?"

Aquila shrugged, "I don't know - we discussed this already Poots - I don't think about it."

He laughed and turned to the other girl.

"I do as of halfway through last year. Use to go to Hogwarts but I switched due to... lets say 'Unexpected circumstances'."

He nodded and grinned impishly.

"But- But then it's hard," Paloma whined, "I've spent my whole life being taught to use my brain, how can I just stop? It's easy for you, Aquila, 'unexpected circumstances' seem to find you wherever you go."

She sat down and hugged her knees, it was getting cold. And she was wet, joy. "I'm not jumping off any towers," she warned him, "Just so you know."

Rose tilted her head at Turrow "Unexpected circumstances you say?" she asked. Rose looked over at Poots then frowned and shrugged off the jacket she was wearing, honestly she forgot about it until know. "Here" she said as she handed it to her "Keep Warm." she added

Paloma smiled at the younger girl and took the jacket, "Oh, thanks Rose. Are you sure you won't need it?"

She put the jacket on, feeling much better. When she got back home, she really wanted to just lay down on the bed with her blanket, the air conditioner on, and watching a good movie.

'Like a Muggle,' she thought and grinned. Muggles were really fascinating.

Rose nodded "I'm sure" she said and smiled "I ain't the one who got wet from the rain am i?" she said, chuckling. Rose looked at the other girl almost forgetting her but shrugged as she had not spoken a word since she had arrived.
