One Step Ahead

Kallie sighed, as she leaned across the desk, ruffling through the papers she had taken out. She knew the one she needed was here somewhere - if only she could just...

She gave out another sigh, this one of frustration, flopping the completley useless sheets against the table, and leaning against her chair. She wasn't going to find it.

It was too minscule too- too- too...

Shaking her head, she closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose, not caring -for the moment - the image she may or may not have been presenting.

It was hopless, now wasn't it?

Eleazar Entered the file room to put away a file he was looking on. He went to put it back and saw the Minister. He first went to the 'U' Section and put the file away. He went over to see the Minister.

"Well hello Minister Nikkala." Eleazar said as he bowed to her.

Kallie was lost in her own thoughts, trying to work things out in her head - or was at least mourning her in ability to get what she wanted, that she did not hear the other person entere the filing room.

She looked up with the barest flinch of surprise though as she heard the voice.

It was a rare day that Kallie allowed more emotion than that to flash across her face, no matter how unprepared she was.

"Renard," she looked up smiling at one of the deputy minsters, "What brings you here?"

"I was just Puting away a file I was looking at. Do you need any help Minister Nikkala?" Eleazar asked.

She nodded her head at his response. A reasonable thing to be doing.

Sighing once more she looked at her papers, and eventually ended up shaking her head.

"No... I think, that perhaps it is a lost cause."

"Shame if its a lost cause then." Eleazar said with a small smirk to her. He looked around the file room and went to the back section to look for something he needed.

She watched the other man leave and went back to her papers, staring at them for a long moment, before shaking her head.

This was pointless. Utterly so.

"Do you need any thing, Renard?" she voiced, giving up on her own project.
