DADA Lesson 1, 4th years

Paloma watched as their professor walked into the room and explained what they would be doing today. Petrificus Totalus, where had she heard that spell before?

She smiled when Anya asked her to be her partner, "Sure, you want to start?"

Angel looked up at the blonde. "All right. Lena, wasn't it?" It wasn't like she'd bother to look for anyone else. She walked over, getting her wand out.

"Who should start?" she asked.

Crystal looked at all the business of the room and when the Professor assigned what they were doing she smiled at Tom "Care to be my partner?" she asked nicely. They usually did end up being partnered together. Not like she minded.

Paloma followed Anya away from the crowd and nodded, "Here's fine."

She frowned, wondering how it would feel, being paralised, and realized she didn't like the idea, at all. But it wasn't as if she could escape the class, so she sighed and turned to the other girl, "Whenever you're ready."

Paloma raised an eyebrow, "You sure?" When she saw Anya's calm expression, she sighed, "Alright then. . ."

Taking a breath, a firm grip on her wand, she moved it in a sharp circular motion, like the professor had instructed, and said, "Petrificus Totalus."

Lena nodded. "Yeah. I'm Lena." She then waited for Angel to walk over and the Uchitel shrugged her shoulders. "I suppose you should start before I get mad enough to maim anyone," she sighed, pursing her lips.

Edith looked over at the first pair to practice the spell she was most pleased when the girl performed it in her first try

"Well done Miss Poots, a truely beautiful cast!" Edith exclaimed

Paloma bit her lip, waiting to see if the spell had worked or not. She sighed when she saw Anya petrified and let herself have a small smile.

They didn't have Defence back at Durmstrang, only Dark Arts, and she was surprised she had actually done it right on her first try.

She smiled a bit at the Professor and muttered a quick thank you, looking back to Anya, wondering how long she'd be frozen for.

Angel walked over. She pointed her wand at Lena. The Slythering took a deep breath, and said. "Petrificus Totalus."

Lena gasped a little bit when she saw the spell coming towards her, and for the other girl's sake she didn't dodge and let the spell hit her, making her fall onto the ground like a broken statue.

Edith let out a chuckle as the girl who was hit by the spell fell to the ground frozen stiff " Oh well done this Miss LaRue, your wand movements are very sharp excellent to see"

"Heads up Riley! Petrificus Totalus." Pandora said as she moved her wand elegantly. The spell hit her partner of course and she froze up. Pandora laughed.

Edith glanced up at the clock on the wall and saw that the lesson had finished, she then clapped her hands to get everybodys attention

"Alright class we'll have to stop it there, the lesson is over but please do practice this spell with your peers, class dismissed"
