Mind Arts - Year Five Empty Mind Arts - Year Five

Post by Lisette Josse Mon Apr 02, 2012 9:21 pm

Lisette strolled through the door and took a seat in one of the bean bags placed around the room, and waited for class to start.

She had heard they were doing Legilimency this year. The girl didn't really care what they were doing, as long as it wasn't more meditation. She was a little too jittery for that stuff at the moment.

Collin was ready for the new year to start because the sooner it started the sooner it was going to be over. He was really interested in Mind Arts this year, he always loved to mess with peoples minds, might as well learn how to do it without being detected.

Walking into the classroom he found Lisette already there in class waiting to start. This was one of those kids from the carriage that tried to embarrass him and that was something that he didn't forget.

He walked up to a table that was close to her and purposefully slammed his books hard on the table and the sat in the chair and waited for the teacher.

Mind arts. If there was one class that would make his love of messing with girls' heads, it was this. Sighing grandly, Julian grinned, stepping into the classroom to observe the Raven slam his books on the table, "That's not very nice, Raven. You don't want to lose house points before class even begins do you?"

Smirking dangerously, he flopped down beside Lisette, whispering in her ear, "What is this kid's problem?"

Collin heard Julian come in "Oh I am sorry" Collin said sarcastically "I dropped them on accident."

Collin really didn't care if he ticked them off or not, those two were already on his list.

"Not really planing on losing any points really, its not like I did it on purpose." Collin smirk again and then turned his attention back to the class that he hoped would start soon.

Amora looked up from the book she'd been reading. What was these people's problem? Couldn't they just walk into a bloody classroom?

Standing, she made her way over to them. She looked only nineteen, so she wouldn't be surprised if none of them recognized her as the Professor, but she would so enjoy messing with their minds. Why else would she take this job?

"Umm... guys...?" She asked, her eyes looking from left to right. "I think you're supposed to be sitting on the mats." She pointed to the mats on the floor, before turning away from the boys to focus on the girl. "That bean bag that your sitting on is the teacher's chair." She said pointedly. "So I suggest you get up before I'm forced to take away points." Her eyes narrowed dangerously and she cocked her head at the girl. "Off."

Harmonie raised an eyebrow at the classroom's layout. Mats and bean bag chairs?

"Doesn't this look fun." she murmured and turned to the blonde girl, hand resting on her hip. Her head cocked to the side thoughtfully as she studied her.

"Who are you?" she asked, tone curious. Too old to be a student. But professor?

Wary, Harmonie kept her tone polite and walked towards Lisette, flashing her a quick smile in greeting.

Collin really had not been paying attention to what he was doing until the teacher had said something about the mats on the floor. So Collin left his books where they were and went and sat on one of the mats on the floor like the Teach had asked.

Sitting on the floor Collin started to clear his mind, this was actually something he had did at home once in awhile especially when his father got on his nerves. Just because the holes in the walls could be fixed did not mean he would get into any less trouble for putting them there.

Collin just sat on the mats and waited for the class to start officially.

Rolling his eyes at Raven, he shook his head, "That doesn't change what you did. If you kill someone accidentally, that doesn't mean it's alright."

Flicking his gaze up to the professor, he smirked slightly at Lisette, pulling himself up, holding out a hand to her with a raised eyebrow. Glancing at Harmonie, his eyes widened slightly, but he nodded his head at her stiffly in greeting.

Mora smiled. "I'm Amora, or Professor Kirke, or whatever the heck I'm supposed to be called now that I have this dumb job." She cocked her head to the side slightly, looking at each of them in turn. "So, this'll be a pretty easy class, I think, right now, though, all you have to do is sit on a mat and meditate, and you'll be doing that all this semester, or... term... or whatever the hell they call it now." Shrugging, she dragged the bean bag to the front of the class.

She turned on what she dubbed her 'teacher voice', the one she used on the younger students when she was being borderline cruel. "From now on, you may only greet the people around you before getting straight to meditation. It strengthens the mind, believe it or not, and if you have the control to ignore all the sounds and people around you and focus, well, that's a talent within itself." She sat in her bean bag chair, smiling softly. "Close your eyes and you may begin."

Collin was going to come back with some snide comment about he doesn't kill people on accident, if someone dies he means for them to die. But Collin did not want to get in trouble in class so he did as the teacher asked and he began his mediation.

During his mediation he just used this time to think of way to get Julian. He officially had an enemy and he was thinking of way of getting him back. He had a few people he hated but not as much as this Julian guy.

Harmonie rolled her eyes at Julian's greeting. "Relax, would you?" she smirked. She wasn't going to try to kill him again in the middle of a classroom- that was just plain stupid. As opposed to a public cafe. Winking at him playfully, she turned back round to Amora.

"Got it, Prof." she nodded, sitting down and crossing her legs over on the mat closest to her. She inhaled deeply before fluttering her eyes close and allowing her thoughts to reign loose.

Harm had dabbled in meditation once or twice before and soon found herself thinking about her hair. A small frown played at her features- it was definitely time to change it. But to what?

Post by Lisette Josse Wed Apr 04, 2012 10:00 pm

Lisette rolled her eyes and took Julian's hand, standing up and plopping down on one of the mats. She played with her hair while listening to the teacher's speech. It was clear that this was a do-nothing class, which was fine with her.

So now she had to meditate... though she wasn't exactly sure how. Ultimately, she decided to cross her legs like those Indian guys in the togas. Didn't they, like, invent this stuff? She closed her eyes.

What was she supposed to focus on now? Lisette thought about shoes. There was really cute pair of mauve ones she saw in a window. Where was that? They were strappy sandals with cute little crystal accents.

A tingling sensation appeared on her knee, and she completely forgot what she was thinking about. Whatever it was, it tickled, and she felt the need to squirm, but everything was so quiet, it would ruin the peace. Lisette frowned. What the hell was she supposed to do now?

She quickly brushed whatever was on her knee off to the side, hoping that no one noticed.

Smiling at Lisette as she took his hand, he waved at her before brushing past Harmonie, "Give me a reason to," he growled softly in her ear before rolling his eyes at her.

Flopping down on the mats, he sighed softly, closing his eyes. Concentrate on nothing and ignore everyone. If Raven and Harmonie weren't here, he might actually be able to do that. But no, he was sitting here and worrying over what he'd do.

Well, it wasn't nothing but.....grinning, he closed his eyes. Raven first. Deciding how he'd take care of Raven would be a lot simpler than deciding to forgive Harmonie. Rubbing his hands together, he concentrated on just how this was going to work.

Rora walked into Mind Arts, confident in this one. Which was certainly saying something. Noticing everyone was already meditating, she didn't say a word, simply taking her place on a mat and going into meditation.
