Mind Arts Lesson 3, 5th year Empty Mind Arts Lesson 3, 5th year

Post by Collin Raven Wed May 16, 2012 12:41 pm

Once again Collin was able to head into a classroom that did not have any other students in it, it has to be his lucky day. Once again he wondered if he was still going to be able to avoid seeing Kassidy once again.

Collin sat in a seat in the back of the classroom with the hope that everyone missed him and they went up front.

Collin looked up towards the front and hoped the teacher did not take all day and get the class over with.

There was only one real reason Ondrea hadn't intended on taking Mind Arts class. In fact, it was the very reason that she was found gagging in the doorway upon entering the room.

The class was taught by a vampire.

"Oh, it reeks!" the werewolf sputtered. Paying no attention to whether there was anyone else in the room - the smell of vampire was overwhelming, in any case - Ondrea made a beeline for the nearest window, feet displacing a few of the mats on the floor as she passed. Hoisting it open, she repeated the process until all the windows had been opened.

Only then did she notice her classmate. "Hey," Ondrea greeted him. Dropping her book bag on a mat near the center of the room and sat, legs crossed beneath her. She was seriously rethinking her decision to take the class at all.

"Whats you're problem Montgomery?" Ninette rolled her eyes as she breazed past the girl gagging near the door, and raising a quizical eyebrow as all the windows were openned.

She flopped on a mat, and shivered elaborately, "Because its not winter or anything. Yes lets just open all the windows."

"I apologize for my scent." Mora said, walking into the class from her office. She was wearing a plaid shirt that may or may not have been Merle's, and cut off jean shorts. Her feet, as always, were bare. She looked no older than 18, because she wasn't, not really, she'd never grown up. She was used to the scent of werewolves, one who spent so much time with them did.

Sitting in her bean bag chair, she looked around at the three students and nodding to each of them in turn. Her bean bag chair was set directly in a ray of sunshine, but she was unconcerned; the lapis lazul necklace was tucked under her shirt.

Crossing her legs under her, she gestured to the mats. "Please mediate for a minute or two. I'd like your minds to be nice and stretched before we begin."

Shivering, Julian glared over at Ondrea. He'd rather not freeze today, thank you very much. Gritting his teeth, he glanced over at the Professor. Nodding, he hugged himself again and concentrated on clearing his mind.

But as soon as he tried, he was only more aware of the cold around him. Pulling himself into a little ball, he sneezed, still shivering.

Ninette rolled her shoulders and leaned back on her mat, breathing in deeply in her nose, attempting to push her thoughts away from her mind for the moment; keeping her usual flurry of thoughts down for the moment. But everytime she thought she had it someone went and made a noise distracting her.

"Will you stop that diseased sniffling," she grumbled at Julian. "Some of us are trying to concentration here."

Yvette was mindful to take off her boots at the door so she wouldn't disrupt the class too much. Reaching into her knapsack she quietly walked over to both Ninette and Julian in turn and lightly draped a clean, fresh smelling blanket over their cold frames. Really some people needed to go outside more, then they wouldn't complain so much.

With an apologetic smile and a bow to the professor Yvette took a seat on the floor next to Drea, almost shyly. Reaching into her blue robes she drew out a flower and held it in front of Drea in the center of her palm, knowing that even if she wasn't looking the girl would smell the sweet hint of smell the bud gave off. "It's a special flower that opens at night and uses the rays of the moon to produce food. You have to look at it in the moonlight to really appreciate its beauty." It was only her years of ranch living that allowed her to keep the blush off her face as she waited to see if the girl would accept the closed flower.

Continuing to shiver, he frowned over in Ninette's direction, momentarily opening his eyes. Rubbing his arms, he was about to snark at her, when Yvette handed him a blanket. Snuggling into it, he sighed contently, wrapping it around him.

"God, I could marry you right now," Julian said, glancing over at her. Titling his head slightly as he watched her with Ondrea, he smirked slightly, glancing over at Ninette, mouthing the words 'lovebirds'.

"You make it sound like it's December," Ondrea rolled her eyes at Ninette. "Besides, I've heard we're in for an early spring."

Her medium amber gaze went to the professor as she entered. The vampire was attractive, in any case. Ondrea ducked her head respectfully. "I've a bit of a sensitive nose," she spoke apologetically. "I'm sure it's just from someone who wore particularly strong cologne earlier today." It made no difference whether Professor Kirke minded being known as a vampire or not; Ondrea was not ready for her own condition to be common knowledge.

Ondrea had closed her eyes, starting to relax her mind even as she listened to those around her. She was perfectly aware when Yvette entered the room and sat beside her. They were friends - or at least, as far as Ondrea was concerned they were. Drawing a breath in through her nose (despite the smell of vampire; it wasn't so bad with the window open), she caught an odd floral smell.

"Oh," Ondrea said, opening her eyes to see the bud extended towards her. "A moonflower? I've heard they're lovely." The werewolf took the flower from the other girl's hand with a smile. "Thank you."

Collin was about to say something to the girl that walked into the class but then changed his mind when the rest of the clan came in along with the professor.

Collin was sitting on his mat in the back and began to mediate like the professor has suggested he loved how the other students ignored him he loved it. He was even able to get away from Julian's annoying mouth for a change.

He sat there waiting for the teachers next instruction.

Lisette sat down cross-legged on one of the mats, leaning back on one arm as the others around her began their conversations. She listened as the professor gave her short, and crossed her legs, attempting to drown out the distractions around her.

Julian's sneezes were the first thing to catch her attention, and she threw him a concerned glance, but closed her eyes a little later. The second thing to catch her attention was Yvette walking into the room.

She shook her head, Focus... But she kept smelling that stupid flower. The corners of her mouth fell just the slightest bit. What was the point of flowers if you had to look at them in the middle of the night?

He was going to concentrate, dammit. Even if this flirty conversation between Drea and Yvette was interesting. Placing a finger over his lips, he glanced at them for a moment before closing his eyes.

Ignoring the cold, Julian wrapped the blanket tighter around him, taking deep, calming breaths. Feeling a little warmer, he sighed softly. Well, he could barely smell the flower, so that made concentrating a little easier.

Ninette gave the barest of headnods in response the blanket.

"December, March, I don't care the month Montgomery, I just don't want to be cold."

She sighed and attempted to consentrate again, but of course, Rousseau distracted her, again. Only this time with something slightly more interesting. She smirked in response to his mouthing and shook her head slightly.

It was interesting, but she'd find someone to give her the good dirt later. For now.

She sighed and did what the professor had asked - possibly a first for the girl.

Mora cocked her head to the side slightly, blinking at her students before smiling softly and waving her hand. The air that now blew through the windows was warmer, quite like summer, though much less humid.

"That will be enough meditation for today." Mora said, standing from her beanbag. "Legilimency. Tell me all you know about it, all you've heard about it, even if it isn't true, or if it is only rumor."
