the little things Empty the little things

Post by Alice Poots Sun Apr 22, 2012 11:34 pm

Alice sighed as she walked around muggle Russia, frowning. The family Christmas dinner had been a strange one, no fights at all. Her parents were happy that she had stopped working at that muggle jokeshop and were pleased that she had accepted the position of Librarian at Hogwarts.

She rolled her eyes as she sat on a bench in the park. She had only accepted it because she needed one, she was pretty sure she had made that clear. But she had refused to argue with them during the holidays, for Paloma and Rob's sake.

Taking a deep breath, she watched the sky, heard the birds chirping in the trees, smelled the fresh scent of the flower in the bush next to her.

Smiling as she felt somone sit next to her, Alice ran a hand through her hair. "Beautiful day, isn't it?"

Duscha since Duscha had accepted a job asa muggle counsellor she basically was living in the muggle world, she no longer felt the need to be in contact with the wizarding world she was enjoying her job, and to her own surprize she found that pretending to be a muggle was a lot easier than she thought, she was even flat sharing with a muggle

Duscha decided to have her lunch in City Park, it seemed like such a beautiful day why should she waste it spend inside, she saw a woman on a bench, she sat down next to her. She was quite surprized when the woman spoke to her, she was expecting to be addressed

Duscha smiled and nodded "Oh I know its just marvelous, a shame not every day is like this" she remarked

Alice nodded, "Yes, a shame, really. It's one of those rare winter days where it's actually a nice weather out."

A bird percherd itself on the bench and the ex-Hufflepuff smiled at it fondly before it shook the snow off itself and flew away.

She turned to the woman sitting beside her- a blonde who seemed to be ten years older than her, give or take a few years. "I'm Alice," she introduced herself.

The woman introduced herself, her name didn't strike Duscha as particularly Russian if anything it sounded English, though if she was English her Russian was very fluid just like a local. Duscha stuck out her hand and shake the womas hand

"Nice to meet you Alice, im Duscha" she looked down at the ground briefly then back up at Alice, "So Alice, are you from around this area" she asked casually

"Nice to meet you too, Duscha," Alice replied and shook her head, "No, I'm from England. Though my family currently lives around here, so I often visit."

"What about you?" she asked, guessing that the woman was either from here or had family or ancestors around, because of her name. If Alice, recalled correctly, Duscha was a Russian name.
