Pushing the door open slowly, Charlotte inches into the classroom, afraid she's late once again. With a sigh of relief at the sight of the empty classroom, she quickly makes her way to her seat and pulls her wand out, laying it on the desk in front of her.

Re: DADA Lesson 2; Second Years
In a rather good mood, Savannah headed to the DADA classroom, head full of thoughts placed there by Honey. Humming softly to herself, she couldn't help but find Ava's disappearance from her head rather strange, but brushed it off.
Stepping into the classroom, she glared at the girl inside, "You." Leaning against the doorway for a moment, she shook her head, taking a seat on the opposite side of the classroom.

Re: DADA Lesson 2; Second Years
Delia tentatively steps into the doorway, the smile on her face barely contained. She loved Defense Against the Dark arts. She loved the battle element of it, anymore she just needed something, anything, to get her blood rushing again, and so far this class had been it.
She also thought the Dark Arts were fascinating, in their own gruesome way. She'd never admit that of course, it was unacceptable to show anything other than disgust for them today.
Delia runs to her desk in a quirky hop skip, ignoring the others.

Re: DADA Lesson 2; Second Years
Charlotte waved cheerily at Savannah, a fake smile plastered on her face. "Savannah, my lovely, how are you?" She said, smirking.
She ignored Delia's entrance, not wanting to talk to the annoying girl. In all honesty, Charlotte felt jealous. No one had challenged her the way this girl had, and it felt like a challenge. A challenge she would win, of course, but a problem nonetheless.

Storm walked to DADA, not even looking at the others. She was furious and she didn't know why. Well, she sort of knew. Slamming her books down on a desk, she kept her head down.
Storm's fists were clenched and she glared down at her desk.

Re: DADA Lesson 2; Second Years
Staring at the ridiculously happy girl as she entered, the Gryffindor shook her head. People shouldn't be allowed to be that happy.
"I'd be so much better if I didn't have to see your face." Savannah replied, voice dripping faux sweetness.
Glancing over at her fellow Gryffindor, she winced slightly at the sound of her books against the desk, but left her alone.

Re: DADA Lesson 2; Second Years
Charlotte grinned and flipped her hair over her shoulder.
"Ah, how kind of you, you always know just how to brighten my day!" She snickered and turned back to her desk, flipping through her DADA text book.
This should be easy enough... she decided. She leaned back in her chair and pulled a sugar quill out of her pocket, sucking on the end of it thoughtfully as she continued to scan the book.

"Expelliarmus!" He said to gain their attention as he appeared in the classroom. "What does it do and what are it's advantages?" He asked. He could feel the tension room, it was obvious but he wasn't going to draw attention to it unless needed. Kids fought, it was apart of being a kid.

Re: DADA Lesson 2; Second Years
About to respond to Charlotte, Savannah jumped as the Headmaster appeared in their classroom. Straightening up, she raised her hand, "Expelliarmus is a spell that can be used to take objects out of people's hands. An advantage of it is that if you're in a fight with someone that you don't want to hurt, you could get their wand out of their hand without seriously hurting them."

Re: DADA Lesson 2; Second Years
He considered her answer and nodded. "It is a disharming spell, mainly used to take away your opponants want and if cast strong enough, it can knock them backward." He said getting to his feet.
"Right everyone on your feet. Let's try it." Once they were all standing he waved his wand and sent the desks elsewhere. "To perform the spell, simply point the spell at your opponant and say the spell." He turned and pointed his wand at Savannah and said "Expelliarmus." With little power and caught her wand. "Now you try, remember to concentrate on the wand." He said passing Savannah her wand back and magicking up some dummies holding wands, one each for the students.

Valerie walked in and saw the headmaster there. Valerie was late. "Sorry" Valerie told him and took a seat. Man, she just had to forget to set her alarm. Valerie sighed as she knew she was either going to get in trouble or she was going to get points off the house for her tardiness.

Re: DADA Lesson 2; Second Years
Nodding attentively at the Headmaster, she started sliughtly as he pointed his wand at her. Feeling her own get tugged out of her hand, she pouted slightly before breaking out into a grin as it was handed back to her.
Glancing at the dummy in front of her, she nodded, twirling her wand around before pointing it squarely at the dummy's wand. "EXpelliarmus." she said clearly, frowning as the wand tugged away from the dummy's hand but not out of it, she swore softly under her breath.
Pausing to calm herself, she tried again.

Re: DADA Lesson 2; Second Years
"Sorry for my lateness Professor," Storm apologized with a quick smile as entered the DADA classroom. She sighed, annoyed with herself for being late to her lessons today. She looked around at the other students and hesitantly went up to the front of the class to take a dummy and practice the spell.
