To Be a Child

Casey thought for a minute, then shrugged. "I don't know. Hogsmeade, obviously. Anywhere but Madame Puddifoot's." She shuddered. "That place has way too much glitter and pink confetti. It's just disgusting. That many frills in one place should be illegal."

He chuckles "ive never even entered the place. i dont think jamie would like it much for those exact reasons. so how about 3 broomsticks? that place seems reliable" he smiles warmly

Casey smiled. "Yeah, the Three Broomsticks is great! I'm glad Jamie has such good taste. I haven't really ever talked with her in depth before, but we know each other's names and say hi to each other and stuff like that. It'll be interesting to get to know her better.

Alexander smiled at the thought of his best friend and girl friend being friends. hje didnt want them to be like him and liam. alexander ties up his long dark hair. he leans against a tree. "this will be fun"

Casey smiled. "Yeah, it will. Maybe I can get Liam to quit juping down your throat for being around me. That would be nice. I'd like it better when my boy friend and my brother are friends. It would make everything so much easier." She sighed.

Alexander nods slightly. "yeah i really would like to be his friends. but due to the deamon i think he hates me more than anything." he sighs "but then again dont most people"

Casey shook her head. "It's not so much that he really hates you because you have the deamon in you. It's more like he doesn't want you to be a danger to me, and he hates that you are when the deamon has control. He does want to help you, for my sake if not yours." She sighed. "Sometimes it's sweet, sometimes it's annoying, but I do understand his protectiveness of me."

Alexander rolls his eyes slightly. Protecting her bby attacking him after he apologized for everything and never speakign ti him. In alexanders eyes Liam was an immature fool. He only was being kind to him for caseys sake. in all reality he could really care less about liam.

Casey foled her arms and leaned back against a tree, sighing. "I wish you two couls be friends, and not just for my sake." She slid down into a sitting position, resting her head against the tree. Boys, she thought wearily.

Alexander scoffs sllightly at the word friends. Casey was his only "friend" he was in slytherin after all. he needed to act the part and by god so did liam. Alexander pulls a book out of his bag. an old beat up copy of war and peace.

Casey cocked her head at Alex as he scoffed at her words. "Why does that have to be so difficult? It's not like you'renot allowed to have friends you know."

She looked at the book in his hands and was startled to see War and Peace. "You know, I never got to read that one. What's it about? If you say war and peace, I swear will hit you."

He rolls his eyes. "i wpu;ldnt know much yet. i have not read that far in yet."he sighs quitely. "sorry for snapping guess i have a lot on my mind"

Casey shrugged. "It's ok. I know you didn't mean it and anyway, what else are little brothers for except to annoying their big sisters?" She grinned. "Besides, I won't ever really hold it against you. Sometimes I get infected with other people's emotions and I experience whatever they do, including getting really angry."

Alexander blushes "oh im sorry i caused that then?" he still burned with hate over liam. not jealousy any more just, just hate. he couldnt stand him. he found him pervy and immature. if there was one thing alexander hated it was people like that

Casey shook her head. "You only caused that once, outside the Room of Requirement that one time." She blushed, remembering. "I am sorry for that, but both of you hating each other at once just made me really pissy. I lost my temper. I'm learning to block it better. It's only when it's really overwhelming. I'm still not sure how I'm going to play Quidditch matches, what with all the emotions running high, but I've been toying with trying a modified version of Finite Incantantum..." she trailed off, still trying to figure out if her idea would work.

Alexander smiles slightly "well big sister, i can assure you with whatever your idea is i will be right ther ein the stands in order to help you" he smiles "oh speaking of charms and hexes are you ready to learn how to conjour roses?"

Casey smiled when he said he'd be there for her. "Thanks Alex." She sat up excitedly when he offered to teach her to conjure the rose. "YES!" She started bouncing where she sat. "What do I do?" she asked impatiently.

Alexander smiles "ok first clear your mind of anything except your favorite memory. then invision your rose. color length, things like that. the spell is merely bloodrose" he smiles at her and preforms the spell and is holding a silver rose with green edges

Casey shut her eyes and thought of kissing Liam, as cliché as it was. She imagined a pale purple rose with dark purple edges and thought bloodrose. When she opened her eye, she saw the rose exactly as she imagined it sitting in her hands. She held it up proudly. "Look, I did it!"

Alexander smiles "perfectly i might add. youre the first person ive tought how to do this and you did quite well sister. i have pride in you. now you can show off on your dates" he laughs slightly.

Casey grinned as he turned her teasing back on her. "I deserved that. Anyway, I'm really glad that I can do this. It's really cool and really sweet. I can also have fresh flowers wherever I go." She smiled and buried her nose in the rose, taking a deep breath.

Alexander smiles, he was glad to know she liked the technique. Jamie liked the roses too. hed have to teach her. he sighs happily and leans up against a tree. the sunset was beautiful. it made him smile "wow..."

Casey turned to see what Alex was looking at and caught her breath at the beautiful sunset. She sat ther with him and watched it go down in silence. "Amazing," she breathed after the globe of the sun was fully below the horizon, leaving fast fading colors behind it. "This is my favorite time of dayyou know," she said casually, taking in the sky with a glowing smile on her face. "The sun has gone down, but there's still color and there are a million shades of blue in between one end of the sky and the other and in the East, the stars are just starting to come out." She let her eyes roam the sky once more, then sighed. "I guess we have to go in soon."

Alexander sighs and nods "yeah i guess youre right... as for me i like it when its twilight and it silent except for owls and crickets. it was perfect in the bloodbayne manor before the fire. i would play outside for hours talking with snakes and playing with my owl, balezeneuf."

Casey smiled. "Yeah, that was always family time at my house. It was nice." She sighed again and got up. "Come on I guess. Let's go in."
