    Fix You Empty Fix You

Post by Ashleen Beneparte Sun May 13, 2012 12:02 am

It proved the level of mayhem that was presently fighting in Ashleens brain, that her brain did not click that there was something wrong with being in her room - the one from America, with her old warm Butterfly bedspread, and the crack in the wall where she had thrown something at it. No one had ever bother to repair it - while at Durmstrang.

The girl plays absentmindedly with Tre's shirt as he held her, some times swiling her fingers around, drawing whatever childish though came to mind, and sometimes just playing with the fabric, all the while thoughts, memories voices were rining in her head.

Shhh, now; Everything will be alright sweetie. Just fine. You're going to be fine

"She lied Tre," Ash murmured softly, "She said it would be alright - and it wasn't. Nothing was alright. Nothings ever been alright."

Tre rocked back and forth on her bed, holding her against him. He was still humming to her, that same song he'd heard on some TV show they'd watched over in America. After a while, he came to a decision, no matter how much he didn't want to do it...

"Ash..." He murmured pressing a kiss to her hair. "I want to try something... do you trust me?"

Ashleen looked up at him, making a soft sound of recognition at her own name. She swallowed, her brow furrowing ever so slightly in confusion. Part of her brain, hidden by the rest of her flurry of memories, and pain, was curious as to what he was doing, but the rest of her...

She bit her lip and nodded slightly, her voice when she spoke, barely more than a breath, "Of course."

Tre took a deep breath and put her wand in her hand, pointing it at himself. "Repeat after me." He said, closing his eyes. "Legilimens."

Ash's eyes widened slightly at the spell, biting her lip. Her first impulse was to shake her head and refuse, but... she had said she trusted him.

    And she did.

Take a deep breath, she steadied her hand and repeated the spell, "Legilimens."

    They were on the beach.

It was the same vestibule outside Tre's mind that the professor'd seen, the single palm tree still there, the shark fins gone. Tre looked up from where he was sitting on the ground, and smiled at her. "Come on, Ash."

He stood, and held his hand out to her. "We're going for a walk."

Ashleen blinked as she looked around her. How were they... she had.... There was so much water; she looked down as it lapped at her feet, flinching nervously as she had done at the beach all those years ago as a young child, but after a moment she gave up and relaxed slightly.

"Where are we walking," she asked softly taking his hand in her own, leaning on his closesness far more than she would in any other state.

Tre grinned at her, and took both of her hands in his before stepping backward onto the water. His eyes stayed on hers, and he led her back another step. "Just a walk." He said nonchalantly, squeezing her hand. "Thought we'd have some peace in here."

He slowly pulled her along, smiling as they came to a stop. "Take a deep breath."

Her grip tightened as she was lead out into the water... no not in - on the water. She looked down, only to swallow and look back up at the boy, shaking her head slightly.

"Tre..." her lips curled up ever so slightly in the corners, "Just a walk?"

Her eyes widened slightly in concern as she looked at him, "Why?" Still, she did as she was told, breathing in slowly through her nose.

"Relax." He murmured, pulling her against him. His lips brushed against hers lightly, and then they were dropping. A whirlpool sunk around them, throwing a fine mist into the air around them. The water slowly began to rise above their feet, even as they lowered. Tre was less than worried.

"Lights will guild you home..." He sang softly. "And ignite your bones..." The water was just below their throats now. "And I will try... to fix you." Their heads were dunked under water.

Tre's golden gaze met Ash's and he kept her close, smiling softly at her. The sunlight was still bright from under the water, no matter how deep they got. Tre gestured in the direction they were headed.

At the bottom of the ocean, drenched in yellow light, was the lost city of Atlantis.

They were deposited through a bubble in the ceiling of one of the tall towers, and fell through to the marble floor. Tre landed on his feet and caught Ash easily.

"Welcome to my mind." He whispered, nuzzling his nose into the crook of her neck, the motion feeling even more intimate, as their minds brushed together. Tre flushed, and blinked a few times. "Pick a direction."

As the water spun around them, Ash attempted to do as he said, but she had to admit the idea of sinking below the surface have every nerve on edge. She curled in to the boy closer, smiling ever so slightly at his soft voice, waiting and trying to figure out what he was up to.

    She never would have guessed...

Her hear jumped slightly as he nuzzled into her, the only thing that would be able to distract her from her present surroundings. Blinking once, she leaned forward slightly and pressed her lips against his.

It wasn't their usual type of kiss; it was soft, sweet, almost innocent - definitely more innocent than they had been lately, possibly ever - but she managed to convey every feeling, thought, churning emotion she had in her in that one kiss.

Lingering for only a moment longer, she pulled back and looked around before pointing just over his shoulder, "I want to go that way."

Post by Treshawn Beneparte Sun May 13, 2012 11:14 pm

Tre shivered, kissing back, surprised at the rush of emotions he felt. They weren't entirely his emotions at all. His eyes fluttered open, and his heart stuttered slightly. He'd never let someone this close before. He hadn't... hadn't planned on...

His golden eyes flickered in the direction she wanted to go, glancing over his shoulder before nodding. "Alright." He pulled her against him, brushing his lips against hers briefly once more. His feelings rushed forward, his worry for her, his fondness, his fear, his hate of the professor, his anger, and most of all his l...

He pulled away slowly, meeting her eyes. Taking her hand, he guided her in the direction she wanted, grinning as they moved deeper into the castle. It was a labyrinth, but Tre moved through it effortlessly, until they came to a stop in the place he wanted. The hallway lengthened in every direction before them, each looking identical to the next. There were doors everywhere, doors upon doors upon doors, all of them different, all of them firmly locked. Some with more locks then others.

Tre picked the corridor to his left, moving down past doors and cutting off and going to another corridor almost every two minutes. Time seemed warped here, though.

They stopped in front of a blue door, the exact blue of Ash's eyes. There was one lock on it, and it flew open when Tre put his hand on the door. At the sound of the door opening, a thump sounded behind them, and Tre's shoulders hunched. The door behind them was pitch black and solid metal, and there were locks from the top of the door all the way to the bottom, and it shimmered with a thousand charms. Padlocks, metal chains and deadbolts shook as the door did, and unearthly sounding scream sounded from behind it. The entire door shook and trembled, straining against all of its restraints.

    "TRE!!!"

Tre pulled Ash through the blue door and closed it behind them, closing his eyes briefly. He was trembling, his jaw clenched and his breathing labored.

His breath left him in a rush, and his eyes flickered open.

"Recognize where we are, Ash?" he murmured thickly, pinching the bridge of his nose. The blue door was positioned in the middle of a field, and they stood on a hill overlooking a small valley surrounded by trees. There was a sign for the Philadelphia Zoo next to them, and down below was a half broken swing set and a single slide. A little ways away was a jungle gym with chipping blue paint and a sandbox.

Tre knew this place well, and so did she.

The girl flowndered slightly under the swirling emotions, blinking back at the boy, trying to sort out what was hers, and wasn't, what was...

She biting her lip she squeezed his hand slightly as they trailed through the endless maze of doors, locks... she glanced at each of them, curious as to what was behind her - what was being hidden in the boy's mind. Her eyes widened at the beating door, flinching at the yell, and feeling relief at being hidden back through the blue door; the pretty blue door.

She knew better than to ask - she had doors like that too... of course a missused spell had busted them all open. She squeezed his hand slightly offering the only comfort she could think of for the moment before looking around them, her eyes lightenin up slightly as the fell on.

"The playground." She smiled slightly even as her eyes saddened as she could see the ghosts of her past self running around. She shook the thoughts for a moment and smiled a bit more, "You coming?"

Biting her lip and not giving the boy a choice, she let out a little laugh - feeling young and carefree for a moment longer - as she began to run down the hill, dragging the boy behind her giving Tre no choice but to keep up or trip and be dragged.

She only let go of his hand once she reached the bottom of the hill, to sit on one of the still sturdy swings, wraping her arm around the chain, and pushing herself slowly with her feet.

Tre smiled weakly at her, pushing all thoughts of the Black door away. He stood up straight, looking down and around as the girl announced where they were. He followed her easily as she pulled him behind her. He watched the little her run past toward the jungle gym as she got on the swing, a fond smile tugging at his lips.

"This is where we met." He said softly, moving around to push her gently on the swing. "This is the day." As if on cue a little him ran past, blond hair glistening in the sun. It had all been gold back then, not dirty blond. Behind them, unnoticed by the two playing eleven year olds, their fathers were in deep conversation, murmuring about things Tre hadn't, and still didn't, have any idea about. Another thing that could only be noticed by recollection was the constant watch on them by people who looked like normal passerbys and Philadelphians, but were really Mob members, watching to make sure they both stayed safe. They'd been almost vulnerable back then, even with all their training.

"That was a good day," Ash said fondly, as her eyes trained on the memory unfolding, the two children. God she had been such a terror then. No control at all - just a little ball of energy that would do as she damn well pleased.

She still didn't know how her father managed to keep her alive into her teen years.

"That was a good year... Eleven," she pulled her feet of the ground, swinging them softly as she allowed him to push her. "Everything was so simple back then... I hadn't realized what a mess all... that," she waved to a their fathers, "Could be, and I'd finally gotten over..."

The crash. She was going to say the crash, but... that wasn't really true now was it? Look at her now. She was practically right back where she started when she was six - only now she had ten more years of unfairness to pile onto that pain.

Tre caught Ash and held her close the next time she swung toward him. "It was a good day." He grinned slightly as his younger self ran past, happy to finally be accepted by someone with an accent like his, even if hers wasn't as thick.

"I like your voice." Younger Tre said, his voice high in the way young children's were. "Won't you marry me?"

Tre flushed, ducking his head forward as a small smile tugged at his lips. He didn't have to watch to know that young!Tre had drawn out a ring pop and presented it to her.

"Didn't even get down on one knee." Tre murmured into her hair. "Never could do anything right."

Ash smiled as she leaned against him watching the two. She missed those days, when everything was just so...

She felt her cheeks warm with colour as she rememebered everything about that day; she watched her younger self actually get flustered for the breifest of moments, giving the boy a geniunely timid look as she took the candy ring.

"You always were the only one who could get me to shut up," she muttered shaking her head slightly before turning with a teasing smile, "While you'll have next time."

She had meant it more in a general sense - to whoever he said it to at some point in time - but once the thought was in her head... she swallowed and pushed it away. It was pointless anyway...

"Still working on it, to this day." He teased. He flushed slightly, his heartbeat accelerating slightly. "Y-you're a hard person to shut up." He teased weakly, his mind briefly flashing to his locket. For the briefest of moments he let himself think about it; about him and her and... and... forever.

But he wouldn't do that to her. He wasn't selfish enough to break her heart by proposing. It would be pointless, and they'd have to run and....

Every day he spent with her, it sounded like a better idea.

Pushing all thoughts of that away, he pulled her closer, nuzzling his nose into the crook of her neck and pressing soft kisses there. "There are other memories to visit." He said, pausing to look at where their fathers were talking. This was the part he knew well, where the argument, escalating all the way from his new home, had become loud. He caught only three words.

    Treshawn, Ashleen, and Innokentiya.

"Of course I am," she teased slightly, attempting to preen and be as carefree as she always use to pretend she was. "But you wouldn't want to do that now would you," she teased softly, watching their youngerselves and being as ignorant of her father as she had been then, "You like my voice."

She couldn't help but laugh as her younger self reverted right back to her normal grinning queen of the world. In fact she believed she was presently titling herself Queen of the jungle gym. It would be only a couple of moments before she had one of the unnamed kids doing her bidding.

The ring pop was still firmly on her finger.

"I still have that stupid thing you know," she snorted and shook her head. Slightly embarrassed to admit it. "I ate the candy, but the stupid plastic bit... I still have somewhere." She was trying to be more blase about it, play it off like a freak thing she kept... which it might have been at the time. But she had found it a few years later cleaning her room...

She knew exactly where it was.

"More memories?" she breathed softly as she leaned into his touch. As long as he was there everything seemed okay...

But she didn't get to keep him; not always, not when other people said...

She plastered a grin back on her face.

"I want to see more memories."

"Your voice is what I married you for." He teased lightly, ignoring the fact that as the word married slipped through his lips his face turned bright red. "Queen of the Jungle Gym."

His younger self just climbed below the jungle gym and looked up at her, smiling.

"What are you doing down there?" Young Ash called, looking down at him, the candy ring glinting on her small finger.

"Making sure you don't fall." Tre and his younger self said in union. He gently let go of Ash, so the swing swung back to its original position.

Tre held out his hand to help her up. "Come on, Ash." He said softly. "So many memories, so little time." He grinned at her, his eyes flashing over to the jungle gym.

His younger self had climbed up to the top, on Ash's orders, and plopped himself next to her, balancing awkwardly on the bars. He kept glancing at the ground, not liking how far away it was. Their fathers had come to collect them, their arguement post poned to later.

"Come on you two. Time to go home." Ash's father said, cocking his head in the direction he wanted them to go.

"We're married now." Tre said with a grin as he slid down to the ground, holding out his arms to catch Ash. "Isn't that great, Dad?"

Lord Beneparte grinned weakly, but all humor and niceness was gone from Lord D'Angelo. The man snatched Tre up by the collar, glaring down at him. His next words followed Tre even now, even when the man and memory should have been faded.

"You will never marry my daughter."

The younger him looked up at the tall, menacing, mafia lord and frowned. "Well it's too late now!" he protested. "Marriage is forever. Me and Leen will be together forever now."

    "Over my dead-"

"Now now, D'Angelo. He's still young. They're simply playing."

"Am not, Dad! See?" He gestured to Ash's ring, blinking. "Marriage is forever. Don't you remember? Mama said..."

Tre pulled Ash through the blue door, grinning at his childhood rebellion. He didn't think Daddy D had ever really gotten over his first impression, and Tre was quite proud of it.

When they passed the black door, it was earily silent.

He continued down more mazes of corridors, stopping at another blue door. This one, however, had a bright red stripe down the middle, and two locks.

With a grin, Tre unlocked the door and pulled Ash into another memory she would -he hoped- know well. The cheer of thousands of Phillies fans met their ears, and he spotted his 13 year old self, leading Ash by the hand as they ducked out from under the protective blanket of Mafia watchmen on duty. The only way Daddy D had let Ash out of his sight with Tre was if half the Mafia was watching. Thankfully, Tre'd known the holes in the blanket easily as he knew the city by now. He glanced over his shoulder at Ash before ducking into the team's locker room.

"Come on Ash, grab the hat and go!" His younger self dared the girl. Tre pulled Ash close and grinned at her, only occasionally glancing at their younger selves.

"I've got the hat, Angel, calm down." Ash teased, returning to him with it firmly on her head.

Tre grinned as he watched the emotions flicker over his younger self's face as he looked at the girl in her baseball hat. She still had that hat somewhere...

Seemingly spontanious, younger!Tre swooped forward, and pressed his lips against hers. The move had taken months to perform, every time he'd wanted to, something had come up, or her father had walked in, or he'd lost his nerve. Not this time.

    Their first kiss.

"My dad never did like you, did he?" she shook her head as they dissappeared from that memory, a small part of her calling him a smart man. She wouldn't give up that memory with Tre for the world but...

Lord, things would be so much easier now if she listened to her father; if she hadn't gone and let herself fall.

Still, that didn't stop her heart from dancing with excitment as she caught sight of where they were next; she knew this place... she knew where they were going.

Ash rolled her eyes at the older boy as she watched the younger one, "It was like you didn't know me at all; of course I knew what I was doing Angel." She bumped her hip into her companion's, as her eyes never left the two. She knew what was coming next.

"About time," she muttered quietly, her eyes fond as a softened smirk attemtped to tug at her lips. "What with being married and all; aren't you supposed to kiss the bride at the wedding or something? Not two years later?"

"Not when the Father in Laws are watching your every move." He countered with a smirk, wrapping an arm around her and placing his hand on her hip. "Took me ages to get up the courage to finally just..." He pressed his lips against hers, his emotions rushing forward even as hers reached him. He pulled away, promptly breathless, even though the kiss had been completely innocent.

"Besides, leaves much more time for honeymooning." He teased, waggling his eyebrows at her.

Their younger selves had yet to pull away from each other, and Tre rememberd the blatant magnetism that had escalated after that kiss. It had been weak before, slowly strengthening, but the kiss had made it a constant force, pulling him toward her at every spare moment.

They only broke apart because of the yell of a large, burly man wiwth the words "Security" on his back in bright yellow letters. Their younger selves took off at a run, laughing at the top of their lungs. Tre tugged Ash after them, and though they were walking idly, they kept pace with their younger ones.

"Ah, the moment of truth." Tre murmured as their younger selves weaved through the crowd and promptly lost their tail. As they paused for breath, young!Tre blinked, stood up straight, pulled Ash toward him and snogged the living daylights out of her.

In few veiw of half the mafia.

Tre laughed, pulling Ash against him and grinned at her. "See? Barely any pause between the first kiss and the honeymooning."

"Oh," she breath as he pulled away from the kiss, her head spinning again. They really needed to stop... "I wasn't that inimidating, was I?" She smiled slightly as her eyes danced with both mischief and.... something else. Something she prefered to keep unnamed. If she didn't name it then maybe...

"The honeymooning?" she asked with a soft laugh as she watched the younger two scamper off from the gaurd. She had been far to exstatic to care about even being caught. "I do believe we covered that." She flashed him a little smirk as they came back out in the crowd.

Her eyes fixed on the two, her heart hammer as hard as it had been then.

"My father almost killed you for that," she smiled nodding towards the two of them. "And I don't think I ever lo-liked you more." She swallowed hard at her almost slip up and continued to stare straight ahead.

"Intimidating?" He murmured softly, dropping his chin to nibble at her collarbone. "Of course not. You were beautiful, and I was shy. You're still beautiful, I got over it." He left a trail of soft kisses against her skin, tracing over her collarbone, up her neck, and along her jawline to her ear. "Honeymooning." He murmured, his breath catching in his throat somewhere. "Got it covered."

He pulled back, his eyes mischevious. "Not even now?" He asked, a half grin tugging at his lips as his focus slowly, surely, lowered to her lips. "Are you sure?" He murmured, slowly leaning forward, his eyes still blindingly gold.

Ash smiled and sighd a bit into his touch, his lips, "I'm glad you got over it; a girl can't go around making all the moves."

She swallowed at his gaze, being transifixed. There was no way she could, her breath hitched slightly, and as she always did - always like two magnets - she began to lean forward too, to meet him in the middle.

"You know me; I'm never sure about anything."
