The last Feast

Hades scowled down at his watch he hated crowds but this needed to be done. He stood up and made his way to the front of the professors desk to address the school.

"Well another year has been and gone and your heads should be full of information both useful and not." He smiled looking around the hall taking in all his students. "Remember that which we have taught you, forget what your friends thought were fact and bring it all back with you for next year." He glanced over to the house points.

"It seems we have been busy this year. Next year will be even harder and so will the year after that but for now let's see who's won this years house championship." He paused scanning the room. "In fourth place is... Hufflepuff with 65 points." He paused for the applause before carrying on. "In third place is Ravenclaw with 95 point." Again he waited for silence to carry on. "And in second place... is... Gryffindor with 145 points... So that leaves us with this years winners SLYTHERIN WITH 170 POINTS" He had to shout the last to be heard over the applause coming from the far left table.

"Congratulations Slytherin, I think a change in decoration is in order." He smiled clapping his hands twice so the rooms banners and colours turned to match the house of Slytherin. "Now enjoy your last feast of this year. Bon appetite." He smiled waving his hand to get the plates to fill before he turned back to make his way to his seat.

Emily sighed. They were all so loud! ''Ah well.. I guess we would be making the same noise if we had won. I'm happy for them though.'' Emily finished her thought with a smile as she sipped her pumpkin juice.

Maria sighed also, sitting in her usual space between Barzini and Emily. "Well, y'know, we tried. So we can only do better next year!" she said with a carefree smile.

This was an interesting year. Aireon thought. He suddenly felt it. The tingling on his burn. He was going to have to rift shift to get to the meeting place. The Shattered Swords await. He'll tell to hold it off so as not to make a show.

Susannah was grinning wildly. She knew she had hardly contributed to Slytherin winning, only putting a few points in this year. She frowned at some of her fellow Slytherins, some looking ecstatic (which she didn't mind), but some others with smug looks and insulting jeers directed at other houses. While still feeling proud of herself, she otherwise comforted a group of Ravenclaws, lying but saying not unkindly that 'it wasn't a big deal anyway'.

Though Gryffindor didn't win, Diane still was happy for what her house has achieved. Maybe next year, the Gryffindors will win.... Maybe next year....

Zayden entered the Great Hall and sat beside Diane. Professor Hades began announcing who won this years House Championship. Zayden was still gloomy for the year to end. It took awhile for her to remember what is currently happening. The moment caused her to be very worried. She became full of guilt after hearing that her house was on 2nd place. It was her fault too. She haven't been attending classes that much and if she does she would always be late. "I need to do my best next year!", she said, trying to enjoy the festivities.
