Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson Four First Years

Erica entered the classroom with a scared look she knew this was the worst class ever.Erica remebered that when she will be a Seventh Year she would learn her worst fears the Curses in this class.Erica sat down and opened her book up with a stiff grip of something in her book.Erica knew what happen to a kids that were punished because of this stuff.Erica heard tales from her brothers about this and sisters.She was the only Hufflepuff in the Moses family.Erica just waited for an aneswer from somewhere.Erica just sat and waited.

Marcus came in the classroom.Marcus was a bit nervous now.Marcus just contued reading his book.Marcus sat down and read his book about Werewolves.Marcus looked and then he started to tear up.Marcus never liked talking about people.Marcus was a bit sad about losing his big brother.Marcus walked in the classroom and cried.Marus was bit sad now.Marcus sat and read his book.

Jessica limped into the classroom, but even though she was in pain she was happy. Defense was her favorite class so far, but she knew in the coming years that there would be classes she would get to take that might be more interesting, or fun. She scanned around the room and noticed that only two other pupils were there. She took her usual seat in the back corner of the room and drummed her fingers lightly on the desk, waiting for the teacher to arrive. She froze, and remembered that she may or may not have been slightly scared of her professor for this class. She shrugged it off, defense was still her best class.

Certh had had a not-a-very-good-morning, or day for that matter: he hadn't seen much of Jessica nor had he seen Karma or Arsen around at all recently. But, his face remained with a straight mouth; smile and frown were both non-existent on his face as he walked through the threshold into the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom and almost instantly, his sight moved to Jessica whom had been sitting in her usual seat.

He proceeded, up to the desk located in front of her's and sat down, almost instantly bringing out his wand. He remembered exactly what had happened in the previous term, with the monomyth kid and Eva, the whole bunch of them Certh severely detested from that little outburst of theirs. But instead of turning around to face Jessica, his body remained facing front and wondered how long it would take for Jessica to speak up.

Vivian walked sullenly into the DADA classroom, dragging her bag across the floor as she made her way to her usual seat. Nodding briefly at Jessica and the other students there, the Ravenclaw sat down heavily. The last lesson hadn't ended well...

Shrugging off the memory, Vivian took out a book and excitedly opened it. She was almost finished this one and she hoped to visit the library soon to get another one.

Charlotte walked into the DADA classroom biting her lips and looking around, still a bit frightened of the other night. Call her a wimp, whatever, she didn't care at the moment.

Without turning to anyone, she took a random seat and tried to remember the girl's face. She had pretty much saved her, after all.

Lachlan entered the classroom and walked up to the front of the room, he opened the file containing the lesson plans and skim read over them, he then turned to face the class

"Hello everybody, Im Lachlan Im not actually a Professor, but unfornately Professor Chaos is held up in a very important meeting so I will just be filling in. So who here has any ideas on what the spell Reducto does?"

Jessica's hand shot straight up when the question was asked. 'Finally, that reading payed off', she thought with a grin. She looked around sheepishly, noticing that she was the first to be answering. Whilst she suddenly felt a little strange, she also felt proud. She knew this one.
"Sir, Reducto blasts solid objects to pieces," she smiled, rushing the sentence a little. She was going to explode if she had to keep that in any longer.

Lachlan smiled and nodded at the girl "Yes that absoulutely correct Miss, the Reducto charm is used to blast objects to pieces, this spell could be used as a distraction to escape someone who wants to harm you or it also can be use to stall them allowing you time to escape"

Lachlan then pulled out his wand "Right to cast this spell you hold your wand firmly then give it two sharp flicks, so firstly I just want you guys to practice the wand movements"
