Strengths:
{DETERMINED} Does Millicent Prentiss have determination in her? Yes: in fact, determination is as abundant in her body as blood and flesh. She has been made to work hard since she was very young, and so achieving the goal she's aiming for no matter what is part of her instilled mindset. The only exception for this is her grades, but especially if her parents have something to do with it, she will definitely aim higher than what she originally wanted to please them.

{INDEPENDENT} Because her parents were rarely around - her father off swindling money, and her mother was busy being a socialite before she got ill - Millie had to grow up very quickly. She had never held a single Barbie doll that was her own (neither had she the courage to shoplift them from the toy store, either) and she never had a proper tantrum. Funny thing is, she doesn't regret this. This is why she often does things on her own and figures out the solution to her own problems, and doesn't like asking for help.

{CLEVER} As a person who doesn't care much about her grades, or even less her future, Millicent is definitely a smart person. Ever since she was five, she is no stranger to putting two and two together - in every sense of the word. Logic is something she has a lot of, as well as verbal reasoning. Her intelligence is something she tries to hide, though it can't help but slip out during lessons; she can't shut her mouth sometimes.

{WITTY} Millie, at the best of times, can be a word machine. She forays into wordplay whenever someone talks to her with a seemingly ordinary statement, but she changes it into something completely different at the speed of thought itself. Most of the time, they can be funny, and sometimes even pleasant. However, when she's feeling moody, this is definitely not the case.

{PHYSICALLY APPEALING} This may not seem like a significant strength from afar, but for Millicent this is one of the traits she takes into account the most. Her body matured almost as quickly as her mind did, which is why she often looks older than her age. It's not like she minds, though; she thinks it gives her an edge - especially when she's flirting with older men.

Weaknesses:
{JEALOUS} True to her middle name 'Etaoin' (pronounced Ay-deen), Millie gets jealous so easily that if someone makes a chance remark about someone being better than her in some way it's enough to set her off. If she even sees someone with a pretty face, or a bag - even if it's of the opposite gender - she would growl and end up getting really mad about not having it. This is the same with grades - though it's rather ironic since she barely cares about her studies.

{LEON} Leon had a stronger influence on her as she grew up and was more attached to him even with the little time he was around her, just like Charles grew more attached to her mother. He taught her everything she knew about acting and conning, and other topics that she found important. She grew up to become more and more like him, and she's sure he's the only person - minus Charles - that she ever cared about. Obviously, Leon's death hit her pretty hard, and she will avenge his death, no matter what it takes.

{STUBBORN} Millicent isn't used to following orders, and what she says goes, no matter how wrong it seems. She doesn't like to follow anyone's advice - except for Leon's - and follows her gut a hell of a lot. She would get into fights just because someone disagreed with her decision, but she doesn't give a flying fish about it; her opinion must be respected. Emphasis on must.

{CLOSE-MINDED} Does Millicent like to try new things? Yes. Does Millicent like to meet new people? Eh... not so much. She doesn't like meeting people she doesn't know of beforehand, and especially if they're undesirable in anyone she'd just wrinkle her nose and ignore them as long as she possibly could. Also, if she made up her mind about something or someone, she would never change it, even on her deathbed.

{VAIN} Her beauty and her constant pain over taking care of it has led her to one of her biggest weaknesses: her vanity. She is proud of having her brown hair, and goes to great lengths to make sure it stays shiny and smooth, and taking half an hour to shower, etc. Give her a mirror, and she'll whip up a comb and start combing her hair, or her nail file and filing her nails. She really can't help it, though; after all, it was her father who taught her that appearances matter.

Personality:
{POSH} Even with her life difficulties, Millie's number one goal for her life is to be the most posh and the most elegant person in the world she can possibly be. She uses sophisticated language if she's talking to her peers, and the only exception for this is when she's swearing. (Which she does. A lot.) She tries and wears elegant - or in-fashion, whichever fits- clothes, no matter how mature they look on her, and she always writes in cursive.

{FLIRTY} Despite being extremely young and not having much - if any - experience in love, Millie sure flirts a heck of a lot. She bats her eyelashes and touches people a lot when she does, or she just pulls off saying a compliment and giggling to try and catch their attention. Ironically, despite her acting experiences, she is rather mediocre at this. Though to everyone's chagrin, she is rapidly improving.

{REBELLIOUS} To Millicent, rules are made to be broken, not like she keeps much to them anyway. She isn't afraid to stand up for what she thinks is right, which is not as noble as it sounds because her beliefs, to say the least, aren't exactly... normal. She does whatever she wants whenever she wants, and whatever she says, goes. She is also very firm in her decision-making; you won't see her change her mind about anything. Ever.

{MENTALLY STRONG} Millicent, unlike some people her age, isn't easily susceptible to teasings of her, or dirty jokes, or the horrible truths. She would usually just shrug her shoulders and act as if she didn't care, or maybe just ignore the other person as if they weren't present, an easy step for her. She also doesn't feel emotions as strongly as others do due to her upbringing.

{BLUNT} Millicent is unbearingly honest, it's crazy. Maturing quickly has led her to become a person that has given up on sugar-coating the truth from others and she finds it better to just tell people the truth - no matter how terrible it is. She is often disliked for this, but she flips her hair and tells that person exactly what she thinks of them - which is, more often than not, unpleasant.

Overall history:
To fully understand Millicent's life, we must first familiarize ourselves with her family ancestry. Besides the fact that her father is Leon and he was killed by a teenager (-coughcough- Lena -coughcough), the Prentisses are a German family of purebloods who conned their way to get through life. Through generations of swindling people of their funds they have piled up a huge sum of gold, which will never be accessible to the family unless the right descendant asks for it. And even then, chances are the money doesn't even exist anymore. The only solid place of funding for the familt is in a bank in Bavaria, Germany.

However, their tradition of marrying their cousins to preserve family secrets - as well as blood purity - changed when the eldest son of Marcus Prentiss II, Leon, married a Muggle named Emilie Kavanaugh from Ireland, though - yes, you've guessed it - all is not as it seems. Even though their marriage was particularly uneventful, the circumstances that led to it was a different story.

Leon and Emilia met in a bar in Venice, Italy. Romantic, isn't it? He had been on his first full-fledged con at the time, while she was in Italy for work purposes. After all, she was jut a young journalist at the time, with big dreams and big hopes, and both fortunately and unfortunately for her, she was also very pretty. Leon fell for her at first sight, and being a man, he took the first move and asked her out to dinner one night.

For a few months, their relationship was normal - blossoming, even. It was after Leon had came home to visit Laetitia and his longtime friends the O'Malleys that everything changed. He became more aggressive, and he demanded a lot more of Emilia than he did before: physically, emotionally and psychologically. It was clear to her that she needed to run, but then she had nowhere to go. Her parents knew naught of where she is, her siblings were too busy to speak to her, and she had no close friends.

One night, Leon came home from a casino extremely drunk. Unbeknownst to him, this was the night that he had first threatened Emilia that if she even thought of running away from him, he would track her down and kill her, her family and her friends. Emilia, wanting to protect them, vowed that she would never do such a thing.

At the tender age of twenty-eight, Leon and Emilie performed the rite of marriage in his hometown in France. For many years, they tried to have a child, but they couldn't. Life went on, and Emilia learned how to support Leon in his cons through embezzling money, and learning how to pass a polygraph if need be.

In late 2041, Charles Prentiss was born. But this, however, did not satisfy Leon. Unlike most fathers, he wanted a daughter to spoil and pass on his art. He was also oblivious to the fact that on the day his son was born, Emilia wanted to run away with him, but she realized that she had neither the means nor courage to do it.

A few years later came Millicent's birth, on the eleventh of November.

Even when she was a baby, it was difficult for Millicent to make out letters or read them out loud, even when it's staring at her in the face. No one knows why this is, but once she was old enough Leon brought her to an optician, who told her that her eye problem is inherited, and that was when she got a pair of glasses. However, at the age of five Leon bought Millicent a whole set of different coloured contact lenses 'for the future', or so he said.

Like most German children, Millicent started school at the age of six in her local grundschule, something she never excelled in, but had a great potential to. It was also the year Millicent started to learn the family business in detail and in practice, and like her father, she became an adept grifter, though she could perform tasks such as lock-picking, and her martial arts skills are not to be underestimated.

Charles started school at Durmstrang when Millicent was just eight years old, and when they were living in Krakow. In school, a special event was occurring: Millicent was in a flirtatious relationship with an eleven-year-old boy in her school, though she didn't know at the time what she was flirting; she thought it was something perfectly normal to do. For a while, it was tense, but it abruptly stopped.

Ever since, Millie has been trying to get that light feeling in her heart again, but that has gone without much success.
