Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Valerie walked into one of her favorite classes, transfiguration. Valerie saw she was the only one there. Valerie took a seat in the class room and waited or the class to start filling up. Oh she hoped she wasn't the only one.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Airiana slipped in to her classroom. She had seen Valerie in her other classes, or at least a lot of them. She smiled at her and sat down in her seat, wondering how many people would be in this class. So far, it looked like just she and Valerie.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Robin silently walked to her classroom. Transfiguration was one of her favorite classes, along with Defense Against the Dark Arts. She saw two other people already seated. One of them she recognized being a fellow Hufflepuff, as she shared a dorm with her, but never really talked to her before. She took a seat near the back of the class, yet close enough to the other two students in the class.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Valerie heard someone come in and saw Airiana. "Hey" Valerie waved to her. Valerie wondered where the professor was at, maybe he/she was running late. Valerie heard someone else come in and looked to see a fellow Hufflepuff, the one she shared a dorm with. "Hi, I'm Valerie McGuoirk" Valerie introduced to the girl.

She smiled at the Hufflepuff and said, "Oh hi, I'm Robin Potter. You share a dorm with me, right?"
She poked her hand out for Valerie to shake.

Airiana looked up and waved at Robin, "Hey. I'm Airiana... are you new here?" She wasn't generally so friendly towards people, but maybe it would help if she was. She'd never seen this Hufflepuff in any of her previous year classes, so she was only just assuming.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Lynx walked into the Transfiguration classroom, with a big smile on his face, this was his first class for the new year. He carried a cage with several mice in it, He placed the cage on his desk and turned to the students
"Welcome back students, I hope you all had a good summer but I guess now its back to work" Lynx then looked over at the mice then back at the students
"So who can take a guess at what we will be turning these mice into?" he asked looking around the class

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
She was sorry for not being able to talk to Airiana, but the professor came in; so she wasn't able to reply.
Maybe I could talk to her straight after class, she thought.
Robin patiently raised her hand, waiting for the Professor to call on her. After all, it was rude to speak out of turn, and she might lose house points. While waiting, she brushed back her long hair and re-adjusted her seating, because she was too close to falling off.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Lynx noticed one of the girls raise their hands, this was a refreshing change most of his students normally just yelled out the answer
"Ah yes Miss Potter" he said giving her a slight nodd

Robin looked up at Professor Miller and said, "we're going to be turning them into mice, aren't we, professor?"
She was looked forward to Transfiguration, she always enjoyed it.

"Hi, nice to meet you Robin" Valerie shook her hand. "Yeah, you share a dorm with my twin sister and I along with some other girls" Valerie nodded to her. The professor came in and asked a question and Robin answered it. Valerie was itching to turn something into something else.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Airiana fidgeted, slightly irritated that Professor Miller had come in so suddenly. She didn't show it, however, and instead listened quietly as Robin answered. She wasn't as used to the raising of the hand by other students. Usually people just answered and kept on. What an odd girl.
Either way, she raised her eyebrows curiously at the mice, a little excited. Mice were cute to her, and they were rather friendly as long as you didn't scare them. And then suddenly Air looked at Robin, a little confused by her answer. It didn't make any sense.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Lynx chuckled at the girls response, her brain must have still been a little foggy from the summer break "Turning mice into mice, ah not quite"
Lynx then looked around at the rest of the class "Um does anybody else want to have a guess" he asked

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Airiana raised her hand very slowly, though she didn't wait for Professor Miller to call on her as Robin had. She shrugged, "Will we be making them vanish? I know you said turn them into... but I have no other idea." She blushed a little bit, but had enough hair to hide it from the others.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Lynx smiled at then shock his head at the Slytherin girl "Oh good guess Miss Hawthorn, but we wont be making these mice vanish today" Lynx then clasped his hands together
"So im sure your all dying to know what we'll be turning these mice into, well we shall be turning them into jewellery boxes" Lynx then pulled out his wand and picked one of the mice
"To cast the spell hold your wand firmly, then swish your wand up and give it one sharp flick and say Mures Jocalia" Lynx then performed the spell quickly turning the mouse into a oak wood jewellery box with gold trimmings and sapphire gems on top. Lynx then looked back at the class
"Ok so did you guys all follow that? i'd now like you to give it a try and remember the better you cast the spell more stunning your jewellery box will be"

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Valerie got excited that they would be turning mice into jewelery boxes. Valerie got out her wand and listened carefully to his words and then pointed her wand at the mice in front of her. She was a little disgusted about mice but this was class and she needed to pass. "Mures Jocalia" Valerie said clearly. She smiled when the mice turned into a jewelery box. Man now all she needed to do was turn 17 so she could do this at home.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Robin took out her wand, still blushing slightly from getting confused when answering the question.
"Mures Jocalia," she said clearly, pointing her wand at the mouse.
She watched as the mouse slowly formed into the desired object. The jewelry box was a ruby shade, and the metal was coated in a gold paint.
Lucky she was really good at Transfiguration, huh?

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Airiana watched the other two perform the spell and then followed suit. She waved it, faltering almost every time she practiced the wave, and then practiced saying the words. They were easier to say, despite the foreign taste on her tongue.
Once she was confident that she could do it, she raised her wand and pointed it at the mouse in front of her, waving it the way she was supposed to, and said, "Mures Jocalia."
She smiled as she observed the tiny mouse transform, glad that her hand had not faltered in her transformation this time.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
The Slytherin swivelled his head around the door. "Sorry for me being late, Proffie. You can barely blame the ghosts for running around and throwing Kneazles at you," Timothy sang. Any idiot could figure out that he was not sorry, at all. In fact, it brought him a sick kind of joy - schadenfreude, if one would like to prefer to it that way - at the professor's future aggravation.
Entering the classroom, he flopped his bag onto one of closest desks to the door, and sat on top of it. "So, what do I do now, mate?" he asked, flashing a wink at the blonde Slytherin who was casting spells.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Airiana looked around when the boy came in, her hand absentmindedly setting her wand down as she did. She noticed his tie first, before she caught a look at his face. She didn't recall ever meeting him, but they were obviously in the same year and the same house, so they should've by that time.
She watched him until he winked, a blush enveloping her cheeks as she ducked her head and turned her attention back to the front.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Lynx watched as the class began performing the transfigurations, he smiled and nodded as he watched as their mice slowly turned into jewellery boxes
Lynx then sawa Slytherin boy enter in late and address him quite casually, Lynx fixed a glare on him "Its Professor Miller, not Proffie we clear on that, your also very late don't let it happen again or you wont be returning to my class" Lynx was normally quite a bright and cheerful Professor but he could not stand rudenss
He then looked around the class "Alright class you all have done that quite well, im very impressed. Now who here would like to show Mr McQueen how to perform this transfiguration?" Lynx asked as he scanned the room

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Robin reluctantly volunteered when no one else would. Even though she really didn't want to mess it up publicly, she would have to sacrifice herself.
Boy I sure am over dramatic, she thought to herself.
"But I'll also need the spell to turn the jewellery box back into a mouse," she told him quietly.

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Lynx glanced down at his watch noticing that the lesson had run over 10 minutes late
"Oh sorry guys unfortunately we have gone over time, so you all best rush of to your next class" Lynx then smiled and nodded at the students, this was his subtle dismissal gesture

Re: Transfiguration ~ 3rd Years
Robin sighed in silent relief. She would've been too nervous to actually do the spell while everyone was watching. She picked up her bag and slipped out of the classroom quietly.
