Annoyed but Excited

Laura snorted, and was about to say something, but was interrupted by a whistling sound. She looked in her robe pocket to find her Sneakoscope going off like mad. Her instincts flared; what was going on? Who was acting untrustworthy?

She looked outside, then at the compartment door, then back at Natalie. "Do you know what this is?"

"That's a Sneakoscope... But why is it acting like that?" Natalie asked fearfully.

"I have no idea; but I want to find out," she said, peeking out of the compartment. There was no one there.

She narrowed her eyes and took a proper look outside the window. Nothing. However, the Sneakoscope still went off to the point where it was starting to hurt her ears.

She looked down and widened her eyes. On her robe there was this big black dot. She picked it up between her fingers and held it up to eye-level. It was unnoticably flashing; and Laura only caught it because she was looking hard. "What the heck is this?"
