Transfiguration ~ 6th Year

Lounging backward in her chair, Karma relaxed with her feet on the desk, tossing a blade up and down as she did. She was bored already. Then again, she'd heard rumors that there would be a whole new professor, since she and Hothead seemed to have finally broken the last one.

Sticking a lollipop into her mouth between tosses, Karma stuck her hand in her pocket catching the knife between two fingers before stowing it away with the other hand. Both hands in her pockets now, she pushed off the desk, spinning easily on one chair leg before balancing back on two again. She repeated the action again after a slight pause, speeding up each time until she was nearly a blur.

Stopping suddenly, Karma sighed, replacing the bare lollipop stick with another fresh bloodpop and crossing her ankles on the desk top.

Boredom was inevitable.

"Wooooooo," Kaci muttered as she slowly walked in the classroom. Why couldn't they have a class on sleeping? That would actually be a class that was worth going too.

Ignoring the Slytherin, Kaci sat on a desk and crossed her legs. Bringing out some muggle magazine, she started looking at the pictures. Reading was for nerds.

Arsen entered the classroom and immediately went to sit his chair beside the window. The quicker this class was over the better. It was neither one he liked nor one he was good as so it was better for everyone that it just flew by.

With a yawn he swung his feet up onto the desk and turned to Karma. "You got another of those? It's been away since i've tasted human." He smirked looking over to the gryffindor he didn't recognise. Was she reading a muggle magazine?

Lynx walked into the classroom, probably not his favorite year level to teach, though he was figuring seeming that the two Slytherin's struggled with the content last year they would sign up for sixth year

Sadly as Lynx walked in he saw them both with there feet on the tables, probably knowing it was one of his pet peeves, there was another girl there to, they she didn't look that engaged with the class

Lynx stood at the front of the classroom his eyes focused on the two Slytherins "Right, I will no longer tolerate the behaviour i recived from you two last year, if you disrupt the class your out got it? brilliant. And also Miss Black lose the knife"

Lynx then went into his office and returned with a tank containing several pythons, gently placed on his desk and looked back at the students

"Today you will be learning how to transfigure snakes into walking sticks, so what do you think would be the most important aspect of this transfiguration?" Lynx asked the class

Barely looking up from her magazine to look at the Slytherin Boy, Kaci hummed softly. She was currently staring at a picture of a chocolate candy bar. Dang, she needed one right now.

Hearing the Professor, she quickly hid her magazine and put on a innocent face. After all, it was the head of Grryfindor after all. Though, she has had way too many detentions for the Head of House to forget her name.

Kaci had an idea what would be the most important, but she wasn't entirely too sure.

Karma grinned over at Arsen, shrugging. "Take that one. I'm not gonna do anything with it." She waved at the professor, blinking at his order. "What knife, sir?" She had put it away long before anyone else had entered the room, so she was wondering what, exactly, he thought he was seeing. Must have been a trick of the light or something.

"Are there rules this year?" She asked sweetly. "We've never gone over them before, you know." She grinned innocently, swinging her feet off the desk to rest her elbows there, the chair she was on falling gracefully to all for legs as she placed her chin in her hands. She blinked up at the professor, her expression adoring.

"You'd need to focus on making the snake hard." She said, her innocent look unwavering. "To make it do what you want, and grow into a staff." She smiled ever so slightly, the innocence almost over done.

Lynx looked over towards Karma, he was kinda surprized that she answered and it wasn't her usual smart ass comments "Ah yes that is true Miss Black, you do need focus the snake. But that wasn't quite the answer I was looking for"

Lynx then looked over towards the Gryffindor girl "So how about Miss McQueen, what do you think. Here I'll give you a clue it starts with "v" "

Watching the exchange between the professor and the slytherin, Kaci suddenly wished that she was here last year.

Looking up at the professor, Kaci blinked. "V?" O.k then, she did not know what it could be then. Unless it was the Veins, and that was highly unlikely. At least, in her mind. "I do not know." Yawning, Kaci unfolded her legs and placed them on the chair. She was tempted to spin around on the desk, but she wanted to behave a little.

Lynx chuckled when the girl didn't know the answer, i guess he didn't give a big enough clue

"Ah well thats alright, the answer I was looking for was visualisation. Now while that might sound stupid it is in fact very important part of Transfiguration"

Lynx then pulled out his wand then picked up one of the pythons and placed it on his desk "So to cast the spell you must hold your wand firmly then swish your wrist in an anticlockwise direction and then give one sharp flick and say the incantation Serpens Baculo" Lynx performed the spell quickly turning the bright yellow python into a rich gold walking stick, he then turned to face the class again

"Ok guys, how about you give it a shot and remember don't be worried if it doesn't work out first time, these things come with practice"
