Light streamed in through the tall windows of the hospital wing, shining down on those rare patients that came during the beginning of the year. This time, the light shone down on one in particular. Aragorn Hawthorn lay, apparently sleeping in his warm, lumpy hospital bed, as the day began. He could have been sleeping, of course, had it not been that he had been doing so for months without end.
The Ravenclaw boy hadn't even twitched, you wouldn't know he was alive apart from the rising and falling of his chest. But now, finally after the wait, his body began to push him on to revival. His muscles started to twitch, his eyes began to force themselves open, and he became conscience once more.
--Gorny--
Aragorn grunted hoarsely as he came back to the real world. He felt like he'd had a really horrid nights sleep with all of the cramps and aches skittering across his body. The light was shining through the lids of his eyes and he wanted to block the sun. His attempt at lifting his hand to block it failed the first, well, three times. His limbs felt like lead.
He groaned and sat up very slowly, the world spinning as he did, forcing him to close his eyes tight until he felt it was safe to open them again. He hadn't yet had time to register his surroundings, nor figure out if anyone was near him.
