The silver and emerald scarf and matching hat that adorned her leather jacket betrayed how cold she felt, the hitched pattern of the breaths that came from her lips speaking of how weak she was feeling. She shouldn't be here.
But Karma Black was not known for doing things that were good for her.
The thinness of the ice was the last thing on her mind, nor was the fact that slipping through the ice in her current condition could - quite literally - be detrimental to her health. Frankly, it was becoming hard to care. She only wanted to move, and if she could do anything, she could do that.
Moving with the grace of one who had done this millions of times before, Karma moved across the ice of the lake, the ice skates she had commissioned from Geoffrey gliding over the frost covered lake. Moving smoothly, she pushed off, spinning twice in the air before landing solidly on one skate, moving around in a circle. Grinning, she kicked differently, the blade of her skate sending her into a blurring spin on the spot as she raised her hands into an easy ballet position.
Moving out of it now, she continued her dance, unable to stop herself from speeding up, as fast as a human could go, not quite tapping into her powers yet. It was reckless motion, precise in its danger, even as she spun out toward the center of the lake, toward thinner ice.
