Cursed Objects

A cursed object can be any inanimate object. (Curses on living beings is a different matter.) Cursed objects are usually harmful to the touch, needing no other means to trigger the dark spell upon them. There are different manners in which an object may become cursed.

An object can have a curse intentionally placed upon it. When a curse is laid upon an object, the wizard or witch casting the curse may determine the effects the curse will have. Objects cannot be cursed by a wizard or witch accidentally.

An object can also become cursed through environmental exposure. Objects exposed to dark magical energy in large amounts and/or over an extended period of time sometimes become cursed. When this occurs, the effects of curse on the object are unpredictable, particularly since some objects can possess multiple curses.

Cursed objects can be uncursed by a wizard or witch well-versed in the art of curse breaking. However, such objects are more susceptible to becoming cursed again.

Mattie walked into his father class and found a seat in the back of the room and pulled out some parchment and a pen and began to take some notes on what his father had written on the board

Looking around the room he wondered if any other students were going to join him today.

His hand was moving more quickly than usual, and that really frightened the Slushatel. Merlin, he had been slacking off in everything, and he needed to catch up. He did tell his cousins he was going to pass school this year, not inevitably fail it.

Once the notes flowed out of him, Kieran knew that he could not do anything with his right hand for the rest of the week.

It was only when she walked in the room that Katerina realized she was late. Weird, because she could have sworn she left the common room on time, but two other students were already there, copying everything.

She quickly took a seat and got her things out, taking notes as fast as she could so she wouldn't be too behind them.
