Defense Against the Dark Arts Practical

Rolling his shoulders back, Afonka glanced around the classroom. Partnering up would be so much easier if he didn't find himself so alone in the class. Shaking his head and wondering where the rest of his class was, he moved his hands behind his head.

Letting out a little sigh, the Hrabrost hummed softly to himself, leaning back in his chair as he waited for someone else to show up.

Lena raised her eyebrows once she found Afonka to be the only person she could partner up with. Again. Sighing, she went over to his desk after the Professor had set their task, fiddling with her wand as aimlessly as she could make it seem.

"Fonny," she uttered haughtily, placing her wand on his desk, "let's be partners again. Are you up for the task?"

Turning towards the sound of footsteps, Afonka waved in Lena's direction. It always seemed to be him and her in all his classes, didn't it? He almost felt like saying something about it, but the way she spoke his name made him second guess that idea.

"Yes," he said slowly, nodding his head, feeling like he was signing up for more than a partnership in class. "I am."

The blonde nodded once the Hrabrost had agreed, and began to step away from him in preparation for this mock battle. "Alright, to be fair," sighed she, "you can cast the spell first. Get to your feet, ready yourself, and let's get this over with."

Raising her eyebrow, the blonde kicked chairs out of her way as she walked backwards, doing so with careful steps.

"Okay," he said, nodding swiftly in agreement. She was obviously in charge. He wasn't about to get underfoot.

Pulling himself up, Afonka twirled his wand between his fingers, watching the prefect. "Ready?" he asked, tilting his head slightly.

Lena threw her wand up into the air, ran backwards to her starting stance, and caught it easily. "I'm ready," she replied, waiting, sweat beads forming on her forehead. She could even feel a lock of her hair tumble down onto the ground.

She sighed, the silence jerking her senses awake.
