Winner Takes it All

Imagination built Vera many things. It built her safety as a child, it built her happy futures that she could only dream of having. It built her a land of her own creation.

Although she had grown up, and had to abandon many of these designs, leave her world behind, and realize there was a real world that need her just as much, that world was always, there, always creeping in the shadows.

And as she stood at the base of the empty arena, glancing at all the empty seats, it excited her imagination again. She could see a cheering crowd, a heated fight.

She could see a fight.

Vera could see herself winning. The only problem was, that was all in her imagination.

Here she was alone, in the real world - fighting different kinds of fights.

And losing.

Was she always losing?

The Dementor swept over the Alluminati Arena, it paused as it sensed a human, it then quickly descended into on of the rows in the Arena, Hovering there watching the woman

It was eager to feed, and how it could it resist this opptunity when this woman walked into a this run down place, alone. It hovered watching the woman carefully, deciding when to attack

Vera felt the change in the air instantly. The cold that was unnatural - not due to the season - began to seep into the arena making it dark and heavy with the threat of misery.

That's what they brought, misery.

Though Vera thought it unusual for a Dementor to be out in Azorat; the ministry was supposed to have some control over them, were they not? She certainly wasn't a criminal. If someone had decided she was, Vera would have some sharp words for whoever was in charge.

And lucky for her she knew just who that was.

Searching her mind she clung to her memories of happy times, the feelings that made her feel completely whole. She smirked.

"Expecto Patronum!"

She watched her protronus dance around the creature for a few moments, creating a nice bubble of protection, and taking pride in her well casted spell, before she smirked and apparated, disappearing all togthere.
