And the new owner was perfectly fine with that.
She didn't want customers. She didn't want people coming up to her asking where Rosie was. She didn't want to have to explain over and over again what had happened. Knowing hurt enough.
Popping a Chocoball into her mouth, she chewed, frowning as she listened to the whispers behind her. Did they think she couldn't hear? She was right here. If they were going to go on about how she was only fourteen and couldn't handle the pressure of having a business - her hands clenched into fists, squishing the chocolate in her hand into pulp.
Eyes narrowing, she whirled around, ready to face her detractors.
There was no one there.
