An ivory clock's second hand, went back and forth, producing the constant, never ending sound. Tick tock, tick tock. Five seconds had went past, too many more to count. Cosette wondered, if her remaining seconds on this world was enough to count.

No, ignore that though. Concentrate on your verbs, Cosette. Learn the French Language like it is the back of your hand. You don't want to look foolish at the ball. You don't want to look foolish in front of your first target. Your first target ever. There is a big chance you will fail anyways, The sneaking thought sneered at her. Just like a fox, it stalked, snatched it's prey, and ran away with shocking quickness. The Fox thought had snatched a bit of hope that she will pass this mission.

The young 'pureblood' had too. The fate of the Holender family depended on it.

So she was to kill the man who yearned to get the minister position of France. He will take any chance to get a good reputation. And getting rid of the Holenders, who everybody knew they had a dark past but never could prove it, will give him a step.

In the walk in closest of her room

Cosette went through her dresses, unsure which one to choose. She had already got rid of the modest dresses, and the casual ones. Arkadi and Cosette had already agreed that she will display herself seductively. Which wasn't hard on one case for Cos - she knew how do it- but doing it, while missing Frodo? The Russian will just feel guilty.

She threw a dress over her shoulder. That one was too slutty. It was a ball after all, the first one she will ever go to. Cos didn't want to display herself as a slut. She stopped at a deep red one, that was a floor length, but had a tight top. No sleeves. It was perfect.

Grabbing it, Cosette laid it on the back of the chair. "Make sure this dress is wrinkle free, washed, and touched up by Friday," She ordered to an house-elf nearby. The loyal house-elf bowed and disappeared with it. She collapsed in a chair, and buried her head in her hands. By Friday, Cosette was going to have blood on her hands. Would this affect her sanity? She wasn't sure, and the same with Arkadi. Insanity was a touchy subject in the Holender family, and Kait was just getting better. She was almost fully sane again.

Would this death affect her progress?
