"What am I doing?" Cosette questioned herself, arms wrapped around her richly clothed body. Inside the building, she heard wizard pop playing, along with a few occasional rock or rap songs. She heard sounds of shouts of happiness, or the here and there fights. No surprise there- Cosette was used to this kind of scene. Even if she hasn't been in a nightclub since December. Maybe that was why she felt the urge to go into one; her old self was addicted to these kind of scenes. The wildness, the feeling of not caring, a place with no rules. It was a luring place, dangerous and addictive.
Cosette looked at herself. She felt so out of place. The nicely built body she glamored on to herself was covered up with many layers of clothing. Unlike where her true shape was narrow with a hint of curves, and not a very big bust. She used to hate it- but now she missed it. Maybe this was the time to let go of this fake identity she holds.
For a while now, Cosette has had these thoughts. But it was Iris that stirred them, giving them more life. Arkadi was told about Cosette running into her twin sister, and wasn't very happy. Arkadi and her wasn't talking now- they both knew that Cosette was not for this french pureblood identity. Silently, they both agreed to let Cosette go back to her old self, but she would still hold the title of the heir to the Holender family's wealth and title.
Nervous hands held her wand. Cosette smiled bitterly to herself as she stared at her wand. It was one of the few things that Arkadi let her keep of her old life. The first wand you ever get wasn't replaced easily- you just don't find a wand just like it anymore. Cosette was lucky that she didn't loose it when she got kidnapped.
It was time to let go.
One by one, the glamour charms fell. Her hair was still long (a potion had been used to make her hair longer), but everything else was changed. She was shorter. Merlin, she forgot how short she used to be. Lighter brown hair, really curly hair, and mischievous features that made professors put her in the front of the class.
It was like the weight of the world was lifted from her shoulders. The stress of carrying a fake identity. If there was somebody out there like Cosette, she was pretty sure that her old self would have hated her. Uptight, strict, somebody who got everything they wanted. Such irony that she had played that role.
What was her name now? Cosette still? Or will it be Kaitlen Grayson? A frown marring her features, she thought. Right now, she was nameless. One never really had the chance to name themselves. It was the parents job, to name their own kids. But she had renamed herself so many times. Changed her last name from Gem to Grayson, for example.
Kaitlen Atriz Holender.
That sounded good, Kait supposed. It will be weird of course, to have to refer to herself as Kait again. The brunette just got used to calling herself Cosette. Sighing, Kait brought her attention back to the loud nightclub, and smirked. It was time for some loosening up. Hopefully there was a sober Durmstrang student in the nightclub right now who would recognize her.
Taking a step inside, Kait changed her outfit to a tight-fitting one, and danced her stress away.
