Calavier breathed in deeply, taking in the old, yet familiar scent of this underground lair. It had been years since he had been here, but he was back now. He had returned. For what reason, was unknown, even to him. But here he was, for whatever reason.
As he wandered through the tunnels, he allowed his fingers to lightly trace the cracks and crevices in the walls of the tunnels. They were dripping slightly with water, and it was cold, but that didn't bother the vampire.
"God, it's been far too long..." he muttered to himself as he walked through the darkened tunnels. He was still wondering, at the back of his mind, why he came back. No one really knew who he was, and he didn't know anyone either, except for Ethon and Aurmerle. Calavier had met them once hundreds of years back on behalf of his brother.
Filthy place, this. said the voice. "Ah, but it's the perfect place for us to be." Cal replied aloud. Sure anyone who came by him would think him insane, and that didn't bother him at all. He was insane, and corrupt and he knew it.
"Besides, it's only the tunnels." Cal said again, walking further and further going no where in particular. Still, vampires are worthy of cleaner and better things than this. the voice said, disgust clearly defined as it spoke.
Cal merely rolled his eyes, and continued on walking, waiting to see who showed up.
