Only the strong survive

Corbin was out wandering he really did not care where he was going or what he was doing. He headed around a corner only to find that it was a dead end he just shrugged his shoulders and leaned against the wall and stared out into the darkness waiting for something or someone he was not sure.

Corbin was dressed in his usual garb a black leather jacket half unzipped showing his red tank top. His black jeans were slightly torn today but he did not care what only mattered was he was out on his own. He hated being stuck up in his room and forced to read about history of a people where he did not belong but that was the only way he was going to keep up his little secret.

Whatever the hell had possessed Belle to go outside anyway was far beyond her range of giving a damn. The only possible conclusion for it was that her adoptive parents had advised her not to go outside as much, and any opportunity to go against their better wishes was always one that was much snapped up. Belle's choice of dress for the evening was far more elegant that she probably usually would have gone for; a floral dress that hung at her knees and a pair of black ballet flats.

The only problem with what she was wearing was that the scratches that tainted her arms, legs and neck were all showing. It was dark out, though, so it wasn't as if anyone could see that many of them; and if they did, she had a childhood accident. Rounding a slight corner, Belle looked at the wall dead ahead of her and mumbled "well bugger..." under her breath.

Seeing something round the corner he squinted a little to try and make out what it was realizing it was a girl or at least he was sure that was what it was the darkness played tricks on his eyes often which is how he ended up in this position in the first place.

"Who goes there?" He whispered into the darkness but loud enough for someone to hear him if they were close by. He was not scared in fact Corbin just continued to lean against the wall like he had no care in the world.

He really should of stayed at home due to his night blindness but he was never one to let anything keep him back from what he wanted to do.

Belle had heard someone whisper out to her, and with a flick of her head, faced to where the voice was coming from. Although it was rather dark, her enhanced werewolf senses had kicked in and she was able to hear and see anything and anyone within a decent radius.

"I'll tell you after you tell me," the Angélique said boldly, her voice refusing to waver under the circumstances. She knew she wasn't necessarily strong, but if she acted tough, she could easily ward off any chance of a fight. "I want the name and the age."
