A Weekend Visit

Kathy was missing her Aunt Alice for the past few weeks. She was just so eager to see her again.

"Hmm.. How i missed my aunt Alice" She said sadly
"Maybe a short visit won't be bad"

Kathy then rode to her aunt and knocked at the door with excitement.

Alice was just preparing the table for lunch and suddenly she heard someone on the door.

"Who could that be?" she thought.

Alice went and peeked by the window just near the door.
As she noticed it was her niece, Kathy, she quickly opened it and hugged her tightly.

"Kathy!!" she exclaimed "How great to see you. Come in ,come in."

Kathy heard footsteps coming towards the door which made her excited.
As the door opened, she felt the warm arms of her aunt wrapped around her.

"Aunt Alice! Long time no see." she said as she was offered to com inside.

"Sorry aunt for not letting you know i am coming by. It's all sudden actually. I didn't even had the time to let Diane know." Kathy explained.

"No worries dear" Alice said as she added one plate to the table.

"You didn't tell Diane? Oh well, i'll be the one to let her know you're here. Maybe i'll owl her later on." she said.

Alice pulled out a chair for Kathy "C'mon Kathy let's eat and talk."

"Wait there i'm going to add more food Kathy. It will only took a minute so don't resist. kay?" Alice said as she went to the kitchen.

"Kay Aunt If you must" She said as she sat down.

"Hmm.. is there something new here aunt? it seems there is" Kathy shouted loud enough for Alice to hear.

"Well yes deary. I painted the walls with white, change all of the curtains and cleaned every inch of the house after you, Diane and your Aunt Emerald left. What do you think? " Alice explained as she transferred the food to the other white plate.

Alice then placed the newly-cooked food on the table.
"Here you are. Hope you like it" She said.

"Well, good to know and it's looks great" Kathy said with a smile.

As Kathy smelled the food she felt like she really is Home.

"No need to ask Aunt Alice. It's already obvious. " she said as she took a sip "It tastes great"

"Why thank you Kathy" Alice said as she sat in front of Kathy.

"Look at the time. It's nearly 11pm. You can't go home by yourself. How about you stay here for one night?" she said with a smile.

"Don't be silly Aunt, you must have set the clock again forward like before." Kathy said as she pulled out her wand and gave Alice's Watch a flick. "There you go, see?"

Kathy giggled a bit as she took a sip.

"Oh, It seems i have" she said embarrassingly.

"After this, i wanna show you something"

"Well, that would be very much great!" Kathy said cheerfully.

"By the way, would you happen to see my mother's brooch here?" Kathy asked with a worried face. "I believe i dropped it the last time D and I visited here."
