Surpise Visit

Kasper apparated back into the small cabin like house, grinning around as he looked for into the shadows. He had promised to come back once everything at the school was settled enough not to need him, but he knew he had given her the impression that he would be away longer.

Grinning, seeing that she wasn't around yet, he decided it best to wait where he was. He enjoyed surprising people, but he did not wish to startle Lex too much.

An impish grin wide on his face, he flicked on a few more lights, and waited for her to appear from where ever she was.

Lex smoothed down her painting apron, eyes still closed- as they had been for a while now. She stood on top of her bed, balancing on one hand a paint pallet filled with bright, vibrant colours. She reached out her other hand blindly towards the ceiling, dragging her multi-coloured paintbrush over the white plaster of the ceiling in one, smooth stroke.

It was an odd thing to see- a woman painting the ceiling of her bedroom in the dark. With her eyes closed. She stretched onto her tiptoes for a moment, her arm not being able to reach one of the high points of the uneven plaster. The quiet, muffled rustle of the bristles of the brush and her steady breaths filled the silence of the cabin.

Until there were footsteps. And lights had been turned on downstairs.

She loved that she already knew who it was.

Dropping the paint absently, so that most of it splattered onto her bed sheets and legs, (though there was already spatters of red and purple on her face), she apparated downstairs behind the man. Taking a moment to grin at his silhouette, Lex jumped on him from behind, and clung to his back like a chimp.

"BOO!"

Kasper heard her drop the paints upstairs. Although he didn't know what it was she had dropped, he heard the thud on the floor. He took a step forward, thinking of going up there after her, when he heard the faint pop of someone apparating.

So he wasn't startled by her yell, though he hadn't quite been expecting her to jump on him, he stumbled forward slightly, before he caught himself.

"Miss me?" he laughed as he turned his head to look over his shoulder, "Cause you know... I missed you."

He gave an impish grin, "Now you see, there is a problem with this. How am I supposed to kiss you if you're back there?"

Lex gave a dainty little shrug with her left shoulder, which would be barely visible to the man she was clinging onto.

"Maybe I missed you a little bit..." she trailed off teasingly, nuzzling her face into his neck. "I hardly noticed you were gone, really." she murmured against his skin, purposefully brushing her lips against the hollow of his neck.

Lex smiled childishly, "I suppose you'll have to try and get me off then." she declared, tightening her grip on him.

"Hmm, is that so," Kas grinned teasingly, "well then maybe I should just stay gone longer next time, make sure you really miss me before I come back. Or maybe I could even leave right now."

Smirking slightly, Kas reached his hand back, and began to tickle her side, "No worries. If you don't want to let go... I'll just amuse myself by doing this."

Lex pouted at the back of his head, and rested her chin on the crook of his neck. "But, who's going to help me paint?" she smiled, suddenly remembering there was paint all over her. She'd probably gotten quite a bit of it on his clothes, by now.

Lex squirmed slightly on his back when she noticed his hand coming towards her. "Kas..." she warned lowly, edging away from his hand, a scared, playful smile tugging at her lips.

The woman giggled as soon as his hand reached her side, and wriggled on his back, her grip loosening on him. "Kas!" she squealed, and dropped from his back and onto the floor with a soft thud, sprawled out on the wooden panels.

Kas laughed, and scooped the woman up easily, holding her close to him, his smile moving from amused to fond as he looked over her features.

He brushed away a strain of hair from her face, his eyes lingering over her face, just taking it in.

"You know I couldn't stay away from you longer than I had to."

Leaning down he kissed her lips softly, nuzzling his nose against hers, just taking her in before pulling away.

"I'd miss you far too much."
