Talk with the Dead (Open)

Aquila's face lit up at the appearance of the badges, and he couldn't help the gleeful grin that spread across his features.

"I will treasure it always," he claimed as he eagarly took the badge and smacked it on the shoulder strap of a bag he had stashed by the foot of Barty's grave, and forgotten about until that moment.

Aquila laughed slightly, "You aren't worried about me, are you Lalia?"

He teased the woman while in his head he added that she would need to get in line. Ceph held the head spot, and he wouldn't be surprised if Tobi wanted to join it too - though he wasn't sure if the other boy was completely aware how far his impulsiveness went.

"Bull fighting?" he laughed at the suggestion, "No, no, no nothing like that. I'm just... a tad bit impulsive; which combined with a restless nature, and a lack of rationality it leads me to being a bit... accident prone."

He laughed as he looked back on that description of his habits. That was probably the most diplomatic way of discribing his idiotic acts he had ever come up with.

Aquila looked over Lalia's shoulder at the boy who had appeared. He furrowed his brow as he realized the boy looked a little familiar.

"Hey - don't I know you?" he called in place of a greeting, "I've seen you at school... haven't I?"

Miles looked at the woman the first thing he noticed was that she had very beautiful captivating eyes she seemed to be quite warm and friendly, " Oh um.. its just i haven't eaten all day and the sound of candy sounds really appealing right now" Miles laughed nervously.

Miles then looked at the Ravenclaw boy and smiled "Oh im not sure if you know who I am ..." But I know who you are, Aqulia Turrow, one of the best looking boys in Ravenclaw Miles thought to himself, he then realised he'd been staring at Aquila for too long and forgot to finish his sentence

" But your in Ravenclaw right? I've seen you round the common room" Miles replied he soon felt his cheeks being to tingle and burn and realised he was blushing. Miles then began subtly rubbing his cheeks in an attempt to stop the blushing

Lalia smiled happily as she saw Aquila so happy from taking the badge, she would make sure that she never lost hers either, and she would always put it somewhere on her person in case she needed to find someone else to join their ranks.

"You best do! There are only two of those in the whole world, a Lalia special."

Eyes widening and blushing slightly Lalia rubbed the back of her head as Aquila asked if she was worrying about him, of course he didnt know that it was in her nature to worry about people, and that if she ever had someone attack her she would probably apologize profusely after hitting them.

"That does seem a little bit strange, but yes, I think I am...after all I can't have the other member of our club injuring himself can I? Then where would we be?" she joked

Lalia was glad that he didn't like to engage in sports like bull fighting and parachuting because it sounded to her like he was a bit of an adrenaline junkie, biting her lip she smiled softly.

"Well as long as you stay safe okay?" she added, in a little more of a serious tone

At the news that the boy, Miles, hadn't eaten all day Lalia gasped and took out her wand, tapping it twice on her palm she let a ham sandwich appear there and a pumpkin pasty, offering them to the boy she asked:

"Which one is your favourite? Or you can have both if you want!"

Miles smiled at the woman, his mouth began to water he could never remember feeling this hungry before. Miles then walked over to woman and picked up the Pumpkin Pasty and took a bite into it, almost eating the enitre pasty in one mouthful

Miles quickly wiped his mouth and looked over at the woman to thank her " Thank you very much, this is quite nice" Miles said, then took another bite of the pumpkin pasty finishing it off

Miles noticed due to his messy eating that there was pastry flakes all over his shorts, he quickly brushed them off, and a quick glance over at Aquila, and had to smile to himself seeing how cute he looked

"Well we'd be a very small club," Aquila gave the woman an easy smile, "Don't worry or well, do -" he laughed realizing his own accidently play on words, "What I'm trying to say its fine if you worry; I can always use a few more people in my life who do it. We're still hoping that one day it will rub off on me."

He laughed, and gave her a mock solute, "Yes Ma'am - I'm always safe." That was a slight to complete lie, but Aquila hadn't gotten himself into anything that a few healing spells couldn't fix yet, and his mind that accounted to safe.

Aquila quirked an eyebrow at the boy as he started what sounded like a lead in to an introduction, but ended up trailing off and blushing instead.

"Ravenclaw I am," he responded then added with a conspirtal whisper, "though if you ask me, I think the hat might have over-estimated my brain power."

Again he laughed, and then held out his hand. If the boy wasn't going to give his name than Aquila would give his in hopes that it would prompt a similar response. He rather hated waiting for information or anything, "Aquila Turrow."

Lalia smiled as it seemed that the fact that she worried about the boy that she had just met was accepted, after all she didn't want to seem like she was being overbearing to him when they had just met.

"Well, I shall worry, just a little bit about you. We shall have to meet up again some time so I can check that you're all in one peice."

Watching the interaction between the two boys with a smile on her face Lalia took the ham sandwich and started to eat it herself, being quite hungry as she was.

"Awwww it's no problem, I just hope that it was enough for you, you like pumpkin pasties then?"

Lalia leant against a nearby tree and sighed happily, now fed she was able to concentrate better on what she was doing.

"Youre quite smart Aquila! Just from what I hear, wreckless."

Miles looked up at the woman and smiled, " Well, i guess they are kinda my weakness, i'd kill for one of these" Miles then realised how weird that sounded " Oh not that I would actually kill someone for a pumpkin pasty, beacuse that would just be psychotic" Miles let out a nervous laugh I hope they don't know who my father is Miles thought to himself

Miles looked over at Aquila as he introduced himself, " Nice to meet you Aqulia, I thought I saw you in the coommon room but didn't know who u were" Miles said trying to sound as casual as possible to mask his affections for Aqulia

" Im Miles Bloxam" Miles added, smiling at Aquila while still holding his hand, Miles began to feel abit light headed he couldn't believe he was actually having physcial contact with Aqulia Turrow

"Of course, of course, of course," Aquila agreed with Lalia, "I will have to send you an owl once a week with the contents of I'm still alive so you can rest assured I hadn't gotten myself killed yet."

He turned and gave Miles an amused grin. The kid was odd, but at the very least amusing.

"Of course you wouldn't," he said in a some what soothing voice, since it appeared that the boy was actually worried they'd take his 'kill for' comment seriously, "It's just a figure of speech, one that I use so much that if people did start to take it seriously I'd be in azkaban before you could say Dragon Pox."

Slowly Aquila took his hand back.

"You are an amusing kid, Miles Bloxam," he announced with his customary grin.

Aquila smirked and raised his finger at the woman making it look as if he was administering some sort of punishment - or words of wisdom.

"Ah, but Lalia you forget," - or just didn't know, he added to himself, "Many parties have seen wrecklessness as a form of... idoicy."

Grant it, that was usally in the heat of the moment, and no one ever used quite that strong of words... well his parents would if they would actually believe it was his own fault - but the point came across anyways.

It never stopped him, but he was aware of it.

Lalia grinned softly as she heard that Miles loved pumpkin pasties and she conjured up another one for him and she quickly gave it over to Miles before he could say otherwise with a kind grin.

"There you go, have another since you're so hungry."

Smiling at both boys Lalia nodded her head vigerously and thought that it wasn't actually that bad an idea as long as the answer that she got was quite positive each time she wrote to him.

"Actually I would quite like that, I'll have to give you my address some time so we can owl each other."

Lalia grinned as she watched the two boys interact and she, looked especially at Miles, who seemed to be on edge but she paid no heed to it, it was probably her own imagination to be fair.

"Well maybe now you guys can hang out more often."

Lalia shook her head and folded her arms across her chest;

"I am not one of those people Aquila, after all, you can still be book smart but completely naive in other areas."

"Hey," Aquila put his hands on his hips and pretended to look stern, "Why are you the only two getting fed around here?"

He continued with that look only for a moment before cracking and laughing.

He nodded at Lalia's suggestion and gave Miles a quick smile, "Sure - more the merrier, or... something." Again he let out a laugh.

Aquila gave Lalia an teasing grin, "See you admited it, completely naive in some areas."

Miles forced a smile out at Aqulia Amusing, im not amusing people who are amusing just fool around with no logic in their actions Miles thought to himself, he was taught by his mother that knowledge and learning makes a person not joking around

"Amusing, haha wonderful" Miles manged to spurt out as a reply. Lalia then handed Miles another pumpkin pasty " Oh thank so much" Miles bit into the pasty this eased his frustration of being called amusing, Miles quickly wiped his mouth and looked up at Lalia

" Your quite good with your food charms" Miles said while smiling at her

Lalia smiled as Miles bit into the pumpkin pasty, it wasn't as if they were coting her or anything so he may as well have as many as he wanted, she grinned, happy that he was enjoying his food.

"Well thank you Miles, I've always been good at charms and things like that. Just tell me if you want anything else."

Turning to Aquila she rolled her eyes and she held out her hand, making another pumpkin pasty and a bag of Bertie Botts appear there for him.

"There, now stop moaning Aquila."

Before he could take them however Lalia pouted and withheld them, she grinned softly and wagged her finger in the air, holding the food alof so that he couldn't get any of it.

"No food for people who are mean, I'm trying to pay you a compliment!"

Lalia informed Miles that she was excellent at charms, Miles smiled " Oh really thats good I wish I had a great talent for charms, turns out my skills are in potions. Actually I got offered an apprenticeship by my potions professor" Miles said proudly

Miles then looked over at Aquila " Professor Moody, you know him right" Miles said to Aquila trying to not get distracted by his gorgeous charm

"Who was moaning?" he smirked his eyes lighting up at the apperance of every flavoured beans.

But he quickly turned it into a pout as she withheld the treat from him. He looked critically at the level she held the food from him.

"Now who is being mean?" He smiled as he spoke, "Its not polite to take advantage of the vertically challenged."

"Hey, maybe I have pathological problems with accepting compliments," he defended himself for a moment before grinning, "But because I like you so much... thank you Lalia."

He paused a moment, "Now can I have my candy?"

"But of course," Aquila responded with a grin, "the great all mighty potions master... I don't think he was ever a fan of my amazing personality."

He laughed after a moment though.

Lalia smiled at Miles, it was good that he had something that he could turn his hand to and that he knew he was good at, because that meant that he had an ambition to strive to and she knew that he would do well because of it.

"Excellent! I was never much good at potions so I'm a little envious of you to be fair." Lalia grinned

Gasping slightly Lalia placed her other hand on her heart and a shocked look on her face, of course it was all an act she wasn't really hurt by Aquila calling her mean.

"Me?! Mean?! Well you are pretty short."

With that she poked Aquila on the nose and handed him the food that she was holding above her head with a small smile, it was just so cute she couldn't really help but give it to him and at his pout Lalia poked his lip.

"Be careful, if the wind changes your face will stick like that."

Aquila shook his head in mock-pity, "I'm sorry Lalia, I just call them as I see them."

He gave a laugh and swatted at her hand as she poked his nose, but any witty remark he was going to make towards that was forgotten as she tossed him the candy.

Calling out a cheer he stuck his hand into the bag and plopped whatever one he grabbed into his mouth without looking at it.

"Chocolate," he groaned with a smirk, "That's no fun," he laughed and held out the bag, "Anyone else want to try their luck."

He stuck his tongue at Lalia, "Maybe I want my face to stay that way - I think its a good look for me."

Lalia grinned and she shook her head lightly, she had never been called mean except for this occasion and she hoped that it wouldn't be repeated, she didn't really like it to be fair to her. It was something that made her want to give more things away.

"Hey, I'll have you know I was voted nicest in my year!"

With that she looked uncertainly at the bag and as Aquila took a brown one she gasped it could go either way to the flavour that he got.

"Uhmnm what do you think...should I?"

Biting her lip Lalia stuck her Tongue out right back at him and tilted her head from side to side, as of pretending to size him up for a modelling shoot or something inane like that. Stopping tilting her head she grinned.

"Sorry, you just don't make the cut, you'll never get any girls like that."

He waved the bag at her some more, "Of course you should - Miles tell her she should, use peer presure. You only live once Lalia... and last time I checked they didn't have a posion flavour so it shouldn't kill you."

He smirked and took a few more popping them in his mouth and making faces according to taste.

"Pfft," he waved his hand at the suggestion, "Getting girls is overrated."

Lalia looked pleadingly at Miles and sighed, she may as well take one and try to play it safe with the colour, so, reaching into the bag she brought out a small parcel of unpredictability and popped it into her mouth.

"Oh!" she gasped and almost spat it out, waving her hand by her mouth Lalia quickly swallowed it "Oh my! That was hot."

Mock glaring at the two boys Lalia chuckled and she wagged her finger at Aquila, a knowing look in her eyes;

"Believe me you'll be interested in a few years."

Aquila smiled as she took one and then proceeded to wave the bag at Miles, "Want one?"

He gave Lalia a sheepish grin as she claimed it to be hot, and then proceeded to dig through the bag looking for one of the same kind. He popped it in his mouth and winced only slightly.

"What you do you know? It is," he laughed as he swallowed it, "Well now Lalia you can say you've had an experience."

He puffed up his chest and pretended to look defiant.

"Never," he claimed easily, "I refuse to fall into your expectations."

Lalia watched wide eyed as Aquila looked through the bag for one of the beans that she had just eaten herself, she was about to advise him not to but then he popped it into her mouth and it was too late.

"How can you eat it so normally?!"

She asked, mouth agape as she looked at the boy, she couldn't even handle an Indian curry without having a glass of milk at the side ready for her just in case, she didn't do spicy food at all.

"Hmmmn well see..."

Wagging her finger still Lalia put on an imitation of Aquilas voice:

"Lalia, there's this girl I really like but...but I'm scared of how to approach her! What should I say? That'll be you soon."

Aquila shrugged and hunted for another one throwing it into his mouth once he had one.

"I just do."

Aquila pretended to look ofended, "I do not sound like that! That, I am sorry Lalia, is a horrible imitation."

He turned to the other boy and attempted to make his eyes pleading.

"I don't sound that ridiculous, do I Miles?"

Lalia looked at Aquila and she snorted, she was exactly right in her imitation because she had been learning from the master, Cobalt, and she was getting quite good at it, shrugging her shoulders helplessly she grinned:

"Yes, dear Aquila, I'm afraid that you do infact sound like that."

Poking him on the nose Lalia grinned wider.

"So until your voice breaks you've gotta deal with it."

The boy gave out a little over-dramatic petulant sigh.

"Well... I resent it none the less," he claimed haughtily, sticking his nose in the air.

After a moment though he laughed and put some more beans in his mouth.

"If you're so good at impressions then, give me another one."

Lalia grinned softly as she looked at Aquila, he was huffing like a child but it was only normal when you were told that your voice sounded, a little bit weird.

"Resent all you like my friend."

Thinking for a moment Lalia grinned, she had an idea:

"You know Professor Smith? DADA teacher?"
