No Way! {Iris and Kaitlen}

Kaitlen was upset... sort of.

"τρελό μητέρα δεν καταλαβαίνει πως δεν της αρέσει?" She asked herself in her native language. (crazy mother doesn't she understand that I don't like her?) She laughed and shook her head. "Φυσικά όχι, είναι πολύ υψηλή όλη την ώρα" (Of course not, she is too high all the time) Then she ran into this girl.

"Sorry." She said in English.

Iris was wandering around the streets, looking for good shops to visit. Suddenly she heard someone talking in Greek and she looked around for the source of the voice. She was even shocked to realize that she actually recognized some of the words. Why is the person complaining about their mother, was her first thought.

Next thing she knew, someone had bumped into her. "Oh, sorry." She said and saw a girl. "Hey, I'm Iris." She didn't know why, but this girl looked kinda familiar to her.

"It is alright. I am Kaitlen, call me Kait." He Greek accent was obvious because she had just got back from Greece... a month ago? "Do you go to Hogwarts?" She asked. This girl seemed familiar somehow. Like something was triggering a long lost memory.

"Are you from Greece?" Was Iris' first question. The girl's accent was really evident and she just wanted to make sure. She then frowned."How is that I know how a Greek accent sounds like?" She murmured to herself. Shaking her head, she grinned at the girl. "Nice to meet you Kait!"

"Yup, I go to Hogwarts." She replied enthusiastically. "I'm assuming you're from Durmstrang? 'Cause I haven't seen you around before."

She raised an eyebrow. "Yes, Greek is my native language." She grinned. "You are the first person to know what Greek Accents sound like. How did you know?" She asked.

"Yes, fourth year Hrabrost." She grinned.

"Lucky guess?" Iris asked with a grin. "Honestly, I don't know. For some reason, I feel like I've been able to speak Greek my whole life. It's weird, even for me." She laughed. "Not to mention, you seem really familiar. Have we met before? Anywhere at all?"

"Third year Gryffindor," Iris replied. "So, what's Durmstrang like? Personally, I think all magic schools are great 'cause we are able to learn about wizardry and that's a huge deal."

She frowned. "That is weird. I feel that way too... any relatives that is Greek?" She asked. She noticed how Iris looked a little bit like her. Very little though

"Durmstrang is amazing. Scrict, yes. Evil teaches, yes. But it is amazing... and you get sexy russian boys there. Though I do have a boyfriend, so I can't flirt." She pouted for a brief second then grinned.

"Well, not really 'cause I was adopted lots of times. Most couples get rid of me after 6 months." She grinned to hide what she was really feeling. "Guess I was too much trouble. Although, my current foster parents have kept me around for a year and I've tried almost all the tricks on my sleeve." She said with a laugh.

"Sounds fun! Definitely won't feel bored there." She smirked. "Well, I know how you feel 'cause even I have a boyfriend. And seeing as they are not here now, we can go guy hunting." She winked teasingly and grinned at Kait.

She widened her eyes. "Wow. I am glad my mom hasn't put me up for adoption.. though I am surprised she hasn't." She laughed. "Why are you trying to get rid of your adoptive parents?" She asked.

She liked this girl; she seemed a lot like herself.

"Cause all of them treat me like a freak." Iris replied bluntly. "I mean, they expect one thing and when they find out I'm like, the opposite, they just don't give a damn anymore." She shrugged. "In one way it's good because I've learnt to survive on the streets." She said with a grin.

"So, what's up with you and your mom?" Iris asked Kait.

She frowned. "Peole need to accept that everybody is different and can't be what they want them to be." She sighed. "I learned how too." She offered her a smile.

"Uh... lets just say she is a Drug Dealer/user that hasn't been caught yet." She shook her head.

"Well, not everybody can be as openminded as us, huh?" Iris replied with a small smile. "Great, now I'm not alone." She laughed. "The only bad thing is ghere goes on some pretty nasty things on the streets. And some really sad things."

"Yikes, drug dealer? That's gotta sting." She commented. "You talk as though you want her to get caught."

She laughed. "True. I learned how to find food, jobs, what type of people to avoid..." She frowned sadly.

She snorted. "Of course I do. She tells me, 'Be like ma someday child.' At least, that is a rough translation she really says. She only speaks Greek. "

Iris couldn't help but laugh at Kait's comment. "She doesn't know that drinking is bad, does she?" She asked with an amused smile. "I mean, I know I shouldn't lecture since I like to drink too but in my defence, I only do it once in a while!" She grinned.

She sighed in slight frustration. "This may sound crazy but I really feel like I have met you before. And not just met, more like I've known you forever. Are you sure we're not related?" She asked, half joking and half serious.

She shifted her feet. "Drinking is only bad when you drink too much." She mumbled. She was a drinker, she knew that. It is hard to be around Alcohalic your whole life without drinking.

She frowned. "It doesn't sound crazy, because I feel that way. Maybe... blood testing?" She asked. "I did it before to find out who is my father. I only tested who was my father though." She sighed as she remembered the day, she was so lucky to have Lora there.

"A blood test! Brilliant!" Iris exclaimed with a grin. "That'll totally tell us if we're related. Something tells me you weren't too happy with the results." She commented. "Did you see your father after that? Cause now I'm thinking there's a chance he could be my father too." She laughed lightly.

She smiled sadly. "I am not sure if you want a Dark Wizard as a father, no body is sure if he is alive or not." She shook her head. "Lets find a Blood Potion. We will be needing it."

"Hm, a dark wizard huh? That would be really bad." Iris agreed. "Well, he must have been a terrible father 'cause I don't think he influenced you at all to be dark." She told Kait, half joking and half serious. "Alright, where do we get the potion from?" She asked. This was her first time to the streets here and she had no idea about the shops.

She nodded. "Yeah. I have never met him... Thank god." She paused and looked around. "Follow me." She ran into a potion store, and looked around. She grabbed a Blood Potion, and put ten galleons on the counter. She walked out, and pulled out some parchment out of her back.

"I need a drop of blood from you." She instructed her as they sat down on a table. She picked a scab off on her hand, she had got it fighting, and placed the blood in the potion. "When we pour the potion on the parchment, we will see what relative we have in common." She grinned.

Even though she wouldn't admit it, Iris was a bit nervous. But the familiar feeling was too strong and she couldn't fight off the curiousity. She held out her hand and watched silently as Kait made a cut in her hand and took her blood. "Well, what does it say?" She asked, as the drops landed on the parchment.

She stared at the parchment in shock, the empty vial fell on the floor. "Oh god." She whispered. "Oh god. Holy S***." She muttered. She pushed the parchment to Iris, her twin sister. She saw on this blood test, it showed when somebody died. She saw her, no their, father had died about a year ago, but that wasn't wasn't important.

"We have to talk to my.. our... mother." She stammered.

"What?! Oh my God, really?!" Iris shouted in shock, totally ignoring the fact there were people around her. "We are...twins? But-but...how...?" She didn't have the words to express what she was feeling. She forced herself to calm down and then something struck her as odd. "Wait...how can we be twins? I'm one year younger than you." She told Kait. Maybe the test was wrong then.

She shushed Iris. "Calm down." She hissed not realizing she just spoke Parseltongue.

"Dunno... remember our father is a Dark Wizard? Maybe he gave you a Deadging potion or something... oh my god we have to talk to our mom." She muttered.

"Did you just speak Parseltongue? 'Cause if you did, I have no idea what you just said." Iris muttered, still not feeling like her old self.

"Oh great, I find out I have a mother who is a drug addict. Good times," she said sarcastically. She took a deep breath and and told, "Sorry...I'm just.." she trailed off. "So where do you live with our mother? Greece, right?"

She blushed. "Yeah. I wonder why you didn't get the gift." She mused.

She grew annoyed but then it quickly faded. "It is not like I asked her to be one. I tried to stop her Iris." She whispered. She looked away for a second. "Yes Greece."
