Oh Happy Days (Josh and Nancy)

Bouncing around outside Josh could not control himself he was just full of energy and excitement. He had never felt this way at least not back to when he remembered he was filled with complete joy what was not to love about life he was finally starting to understand why he was sorted into hufflepufff with his new personality well not new but just shoved way down deep inside him Josh was ready to face anything that the world threw at anything or so he thought. This was his life and he was sure that nothing could ruin his joy he had found love and had met his birth parents who want him to move in with them as soon as the school year is done. 'Next year was going to be so different.' Josh thought to himself.

Nancy was reading in the courtyard, still slightly shy. She was getting over it though, just ignoring the people who kept calling her names just because of who her grandfather was.

Joshua saw a girl sitting all alone well what is with meeting all the girls before I meet a dude Josh thought to himself.

Walking over to her he smiled before saying "Hi there my name is Joshua or Josh what ever works."

She looked up at the boy that was talking to her. "Hi, Josh. You can call me Nancy." She said, getting up and holding out her hand.

Josh smiled and took the outstretched hand "Hi Nancy hmm is your last name Riddle by chance? Don't worry I won't make fun of you I am just curious."

He was sure that was her last name he had seen kids making fun of her and he had wanted to talk to her for awhile actually but never had the courage to start the conversation.

She looked down and nodded. "Yeah it is." She said, whispering. "Makes me wish they never knew his real last name." She added, sitting back down.

Josh went and sat down beside her.

"You know if you would like to talk about it I am all ears I have seen how the others have made fun of you and frankly it just upsets me. You are a beautiful girl and should be known for who you are as a person and not for who your Grandfather was or who your family is."

She shrugged, looking at him. "I'm used to it now." She said, feeling a few tears coming down her cheeks. "But I don't get how it is my fault."

That was it Josh could not help but take her into his arms she was hurt and he hated that he wished that the others would just leave her alone she shad suffered enough.

"It is not your fault for being born a Riddle you cannot choose who your family is right. Look I grew up in with adopted parents who beat me up so many times and gave me physical scars just because I would not stay in with them and would run away."

She was surprised when he took her in his arms, blushing when he did. "I wish the rest of the school understood." She said, blushing brighter.

"We all have our enimies some more than others and we ca't expect everyone to get along but I for one hate to see anyone upset or hurt it pains me to see others in hurting so." He smiled rested his head on top of hers as he thought of what he might do.

When he was with Olivia he felt competley different than when he was with Nancy but he thougth that he loved both of them and at the moment he could not decide of which one he would like to date.

Nancy nodded, understanding what he was saying. She Felt her heart beat slightly faster as she experienced her first big crush. Not puppy love, but first real crush. "So what do I do?"

"Well I would probably tell a professor or someone that is an adult that you can trust about what is happening they will be able to help a little bit. Though I never had anyone who I felt I could trust during my suffering."

His scars were well hidden at the moment and he was not going to show them to her well not yet at least however she coul probably see tiny scars all over his hands and the start of his largest one but he would not show her all of them.

Nancy smiled for the first time that day. "I guess, but they're just going to keep doing it. Maybe it's the Voldemort in me but I wish I could hurt them for being so mean."

"You know what you are such a pretty girl." Josh said trying to change the subject they needed to talk about something else to help her get over the pain and to stop him from going after the fools who put her in such a state.

Smiling he took her hand and rubbed it slightly honestly he did not know what he could do for her or how he could help her she was hurt emotionally maybe she just needed a good friend to help her understand that she is different than the others.
