One Moment in Time | INVITE ONLY

Aldan had been so close to the cake he could've tasted it but Asric just had to ruin his moment by using some spell to make him freeze. So not cool. He scowled as Asric manhandled his twelve-year-old body and deposited him at the alter next to him. He crossed his arms and fiddled with the cuffs of his shirt.

"Why are weddings so boring?" he sighed, knowing Asric was right in that Sophia would no doubt bury him alive if she ever discovered he ruined her wedding day. She'd been bouncing in her own way with excitement, and what Aldan had come to recognize as nerves.

"Where's mini you and I staying while Soph and you get it on after this anyways?" he asked. He rather hoped Asric would let him stay at Hogwarts while they had their honeymoon. Much more fun. His eyes looked around at all the guests and he wrinkled his nose, wondering how many Asric and Sophia knew personally.

Damian grinned back at her. "I know," he smirked. "Thank you."

With one hand, he tugged Iva down into the chair beside him. Under Pan's watchful eye, the boy showed her how to hold the baby in her arms.

"You gotta watch his head," Damian cautioned, slowly withdrawing his hands. He couldn't help but smile at the sight. It was adorable, Iva and Little Ric both. Not to mention that it made Damian look a little farther into the future than he was usually inclined.

Regina took Sophia's hands in her own as the younger woman started wringing them. "Sophia," she said kindly, "come, lass. Ye've nothin' tae worry about. So, there's a few people ye might not know - pay them no mind, Soph, my love. None 't all. Today is about you. You an' that man 'f yers."

"Thank ye, mum," Sophia responded, wrapping her arms about her mother.

"Soph," said Caena as she stepped into the tent - Sophia's best friend and Maid of Honor. She was accompanied by Sophia's father. "Everyone is taking their seats. They're almost ready for you."

Sophia cast an anxious glance towards the side of the structure closer to where the wedding would be taking place. Accepting her bouquet from her friend, she drew a fortifying breath, an almost giddy smile claiming her features despite her nerves.

"Well," she said. "I s'pose there isnae any time like the present, now, is there?"

Iva caressed the child, a smirk growing on her face. She leaned back, begining to feel comfortable around Collin. Leaning over the boy's face, she gave a giggle. "Hello, little one,"

In return, the baby grabbed a chunk of her hair and promptly started gnawing on it. Iva gasped and slowly pulled it away, unsure of why a baby would want to eat that.

"It is not hard. I could take care of a child," she nodded. Part of her wanted to make a comment to scare the elf, but she refrained from any pregnancy jokes for the time being.

"Would it be alright if.." she gave the two a sheepish grin, "I held him during the wedding? I can give him back to the house elf if he cries. Please?"

"Maybe because you aren't old enough to understand them little brother. In a few years time ill remind you of this on your own wedding." He smiled glancing down at his watch. It was nearly time and he couldn't wait to see his beautiful bride. He'd missed her even after the small amount of time they'd been apart.

He turned and gave his brother an evil smirk. He knew he wasn't going to like it but what choice did he have? "You'll be staying with my mother in law." He smirked. "A week or two with Sophias parents wont be too bad. Just make sure you behave yourself. Do you hear me?"

"I've decided I won't ever be married," Aldan informed Asric, "so there will be no reminding me of any of this now will there?" He looked towards the front of the aisle, wondering when his soon to be sister-in-law would make her appearance. He hadn't seen what she looked like yet but she was pretty by nature, so Aldan figured she'd look amazing when he finally got to see his brother's fiance.

Aldan gave Asric an irritated look at those words. "You're really set on torturing me aren't you?" he asked exasperatedly. He couldn't 'behave' to save his life, but he thought Sophia's mum was rather cool. He didn't let Asric know though that he much preferred Regina and her husband than, say, one of those stiff people he'd seen today at the wedding.

"Define the word behave," he simply said as he heard the chime of the piano, nudging his brother to tell him nonverbally that his bride was about to enter.

Passion drifted away when she saw she was not needed, and sat down to take a seat. She was tempted to bring out a flask of blood from her purse, and wondered how the guest will react. She wasn't even sure her former students knew she was a vampire.

When the piano started playing, she drew herself up tall, and prepared herself to see the bride.

Damian hid a smile behind his hand. He thought Iva was so cute sometimes.

"I don't see why not," he said. "You don't mind, do you, Pan?" The elf shook her head, taking a seat beside her master's apprentices.

He looked up as music signaling the entrance of the bride started to play.

Ric laughed lightly at his brothers reply. "Ill remind you of that in a few years time too. It's fun being a kid but you're all just so naive at this point." He smiled shaking his head. His head snapped up at the sound of the piano. Any minute now his soon to be wife would come walking down the aisle, looking more beautiful than he had ever seen her if that was possible.

"Later little bro. Now im getting married." He smiled straightening his tie.

Sophia took her father's arm, letting him guide her out of the bridal tent. Her gaze quickly swept those gathered in the seats. Collin, her son, was with Asric's apprentices and Pan. Her mother had quickly found her place near the front. Friends, families, colleagues, acquaintances, strangers; a bit of everyone seemed to have gathered.

Finally, she allowed her gaze to go to the front, where it became fixated, just as she expected it would. An almost shy smile took her features, a giddy feeling washing over her. She felt nearly like a schoolgirl who had earned a smile from her crush.

This was better, though. This was Asric, the man she loved, and he would be hers forever.

Time stood still - Sophia had always thought that was such an absurd phrase; time didn't stand still; at least, it never had before - and somehow, the seats and guests were no longer in between them. It was just her and Ric, facing one another. Sophia ducked her head slightly, smile widening brightly as her hand was placed in his.

She gasped when she saw the Bride, Sophia. She was truly gorgeous, and looked really happy. The gown was simple, but yet elegant. It suited future Sophia Chaos.

She was so tempted to capture the moment with a camera, muggle or wizard, but she didn't have one on her. She grumbled to herself in her head, but then shook it off. It was going to be a wonderful night, and no need to be aggravated with herself.

Ric turned following the eyes of every guest outside and froze. He gasped and became breathless for the first time in who knows how long. What he saw before him couldn't exist. She was an angel sent from the heavens above, but no, not even those angels could take his breath away like she did.

It took a nudge from Ghost to make him realise he'd stopped breathing. He smiled down at her to compose himself and then looked up to become lost her in her eyes. He nodded his head to her father and accepted her hand, placing a gently kiss on it as he turned to look towards the vicor. The quicker they did this, the quicker he got to sweep Mrs Chaos off her feet.
