Do don't Think (Henri/Claude)

Claude sat himself at the bar, happy with his chosen spot, next to the bar was where he would usually be after all. He ordered a drink as soon as he was comfortable, bracing himself for what was to come. His sister would kill him if she knew who he was wanting to talk to. Kill him if he was lucky, anyway. He knew that when she was upset she could do a lot more damage than just 'death'. He grimaced at the thought and took a swig of his drink, wondering if he should've thought this plan through more. Though he never really thought his plans through, and they still usually worked out okay. Usually.

Glancing behind him, Claude scanned the room, eyes lingering on the door before he turned back to his drink, sucking up his nerves and clutching his drink as if it could save him from his sister's wrath. Though she didn't know yet. And what she didn't know wouldn't hurt her. That was assuming she didn't find out. And she had an uncanny nack for finding things out.

Running a hand through his hair, the man tried to shake off his thoughts. He was rarely this pesimistic.

Henri took a deep breath before opening the door to the pub, he hadn't seen his ex girlfriends brother since he had walked out that door seven years ago. They had been quite good friends but had not stayed in touch. Henri had come to the conclusion that Claude simply hated him and because of that it had taken him by surprise when Claude had contacted him and asked him to come meet him there.

When Henri stepped inside he stopped for a second and looked around. There weren't many people there but he did have to look around for Claude. but there he sat, at the bar with a drink in his hand.

Henri walked up to the bar, stood next to Claude, and ordered a drink. He decided not to sit down yet, because he always felt more comfortable while standing.

"Long time no see." Henri said, without looking at him, just staring straight ahead, waiting for his drink.

Claude glanced out the corner of his eye as he felt someone come and stand next to him, confirming who it was that was there. He waited for the man to order a drink, taking a swig of his own, licking his lips as he put his glass back down.

He didn't look at Henri as he spoke. Eye contact felt like it might be a little weird, considering just how long it had been. "A very long time," he agreed, deciding he needed more alcohol in his veins and taking another sip.

"I hear you're a Professor," Claude stated, not bothering in beating round the bush. He could've tried to make pleasantries, but he could've been a lot less tactful too. And there really wasn't much else to say.

Besides, he'd never been that good at small-talk.
